No, not the 1972 team. I'm referring to the 2007 team, which stands a very good chance of going a perfectly awful 0-16. After hearing the 1972 Dolphins go on and on about how great they were, and how nobody deserves to beat their record, I'd like to see this happen as much as I'd like to see the Patriots go undefeated. Wouldn't it be poetic if the Dolphins were winless the same year that their hallowed record fell? Would Don Schula and the rest of the '72 Dolphins finally shut up? Would Tampa Bay celebrate that their previous record of futility (0-14 in 1976) would finally be eclipsed...and by another team in Florida, no less? Whaddya think?
That would certainly be golden. Wish the 0-win season was happening to the Cowboys, though. Dallas lacks humility.
I posted pretty much the same thing a few weeks ago in a Patriots thread. I agree 100%. The classless Shula comments recently made my mind up about it. I'm sick of these old arrogant farts and their interviews every time someone goes 10-0.
True justice would be the Dolphins ending both their own and the Patriots streaks on December 23. It won't happen, but how cool would THAT be?
1-15. I hope that they're such losers that they lose at losing and actually pull out some ridiculous win.
it would be cool if the last game of the season the pats were playing for a undefeated season and the dolphins were playing for a win. it would make it an interesting game .............. maybe. well until the pats scored 40 points in the first half.
Perfect Scenario: Patriots Go Undefeated at 16-0 Dolphins Go Winless at 16-0 Patriots lose it's first playoff game at home to an unnamed team (Titans, Browns, Chargers, or Jags) by not only losing, but almost losing by blowout. After other team jumps to decent lead and decides turn on gas pedal, like Patriots did against Redskins, Bills (x2), and probably will do against Jets/Dolphins. Having their season and unbeaten streak ended by 45 + point blowout at home by weaker team. Justice served on all sides.
The Dolphin's #1 running back is Samkon Gado.. the dude waived by the Texans No Ricky, No Ronnie, No Jesse Chatman either No way they will beat the patriots
Even worse, their QB is Cleo Lemon, who makes VY seem like Johnny Unitas. They could have drafted Brady Quinn at #9 yet instead they selected an injured Teddy Ginn Jr. One of the most incomprehensible draft decisions in recent memory.
