Strictly from what the average fan knows, David is a much better person off the field but on it Leinart lacks the same mental toughness and work ethic as the "franchise".

I think Leinart on the Jaguars would be a legit fit.

He's not that good though...

 

only if you discount the simple facts that, at the NFL level, Leinart

has a weak arm,
lacks the physicality and mentality to take the hits and
lacks the competiveness / leadership qualities that command respect from his teammates in the huddle​

calling Leinart a mega douche would be an insult to the mega douches of the world

 

610 reported a few minutes ago and John McClain came on and confirmed it that Matt Leinart signed a 1 year deal with the Texans.

Edit: Agrees to 1 year deal, not officially signed yet.

Bad thread title. Interesting that he'd sign here. I suppose that means he's our #1 backup (thank Christ, lol)... but hmm, a puzzling signing. Low risk, high reward if Schaub kicks the bucket
