He can... but his style has always been to try to be "untouchable" rather than just catch/run the ball, and run straight forward towards contact, or to get pounded. 11 catches... 63 yards today (which I gotta assume he had a lot of swing passes for no gain, or losses).
Bush has better speed to the corners and catches better than Peterson. Peterson is a beast between the tackles with big play ability. He is an everydown back and will probably touch the ball twice as much as Bush in the NFL. Due to his North South running style, he'll have very few negative plays. Negative plays end drives in the NFL unless you play against the Texans.
