Sad. They just said Geno Smith decided to fly home and not stick around for the 2nd Round.

I dont know if that sarcasm but how is that bad? a team drafts around 6-8 per year, sometimes the 6th round pick and 7th round pick goes to the practice squad, (not current roster) also the rosters for a season are 53 players, so like 48% of the team was drafted by the texans.

and if they were bad picks, why they all are getting paid like Barwin, Mario Williams, James Casey, etc.

They showed most of the other teams and the Texans were one of the lowest I saw.

I didn't say the Texans don't draft players. They aren't good at drafting quantity though and that contributes to your salary cap problems.

Oakland didnt have leverage, people knew they were trying to trade down.

They still got Hayden and picked up a 2nd rounder in the process.

I didn't know that Jarvis Jones turns 24 this year. And his 40 was 4.9? Ugh, pick has definitely lost its luster... and that is before getting into the injury concern.

I guess it is a good thing the quarterback isn't 40 yards behind the line of scrimmage. :(

    Kind of.

    OAK: #3 for #12, #42

    NE: #29 for #52, #83, #102, #229

Given how, in this particular draft, there was such a lack of consensus of player value in the first and second round, the Raiders' move wasn't insane. If they got a guy they liked just as much at #12 and got a high second in the bargain, they did great.

Pats probably felt similar flipping their low first for a back third-second and got a 3rd, 5th, and useless 7th out of it. They moved much further back than Oakland did, both in literal position and in terms of player value position.

I'm of the opinion that this draft has exceptionally high value in the first half of the second round, with so many guys there being arguably first round talent.

The Pats still need to hit on their picks, something they haven't excelled at the way they did in their Super Bowl years.

I'd feel better if we were at least in the 40 to 45 pick range. Hoping the Texans trade some picks to move up a bit

Saw Watson mentioned as a potential first round pick for the Texans in one mock. I wouldn't be opposed to that pick.
