Wasn't Clausen supposed to be the 2nd best QB in the draft? I wonder how he feels now that Tim Teebow actually got picked before him LOL. Do you guys think he's good enough to be the automatic first pick of the 2nd round despite depth available or needs to fill?

Dallas grabbing Dez is huge - that is an epic core of receivers.

    Agreed...

With the two corners locking up or at least sticking to wr's , all Taylor Mays has to do is light mofos up ala Sean Taylor (r.i.p :( )

I agree you question his passion for the sport... How do you forget your cleats for your own pro day...

Count me as still not afraid of the Jets (unless they are playing the Texans, of course, since Rex Ryan owns us). We'll see what they do for the rest of the draft.

Revis, a rookie CB, and an overrated Cromartie is no better than their secondary last year. Albeit it was a good secondary and defense already, but this isn't as drastic an improvement as it's been made out to be.

Jason Taylor isn't the same guy from 3 years ago. Santonio Holmes was a good pickup, but nothing that D-coordinators will be panicking about. They lost their workhorse at RB, too, and I think that is being overlooked. Shonn Greene is promising, but other than that they are depending on a washed-up LT and Leon Washington coming off a serious injury. Maybe they get a good back in the 2nd round, then I might be a little more afraid.

But this is a team that was dead in the water after losing to the Falcons (who had nothing to play for), and then were on their way to vacation until the Colts took their 2nd half rest. You can talk about playoff runs all you want, but this isn't an automatic playoff team. They have just as much work to do on the field as any other playoff hopeful.

I'm just motivated to see Dez be even MORE motivated man. I actually wanted him to "drop" to a "better" team with a good structure and good veterans that can help him develop some legitimate life skills and some maturity.

Still can't believe that Okung and Dez weren't atleast the 1st of their position taken though. Okung was rated by almost everyone above Trent, and while Trent IS a better and more "explosive" athlete, he does struggle with some change of direction and is stiffer than Okung so that's why a lot of scouts thought he is going to eventually become a RT anyways. Okung is a legitimate LT though.

Dez is immature and lacks fundametal lifeskills and has some personality quarks but he has come NOWHERE near anything criminal. He has no "entourage" nor does he have an overblown ego already before he signed with the team (unlike Crabs).

But he does need to some "babysitting" to some extent though. But once he gets on the field he is a hungry beast that will give it his all (except for blocking, he's a little inconsistent with that)

I really can't figure why the drafted Tebow especially after picking up Brady Quinn.

There is a lot to like about Demaryius Thomas. He is an amazing athlete. Unfortunately he never really got to show how great he could be because of Paul Johnson's Triple Option. When they did throw it usually went to him for huge plays. I was really surprised that he didn't transfer when Coach Johnson got hired.

Texans are in good position in the second round to pick up a top RB. They could possibly even get quality in the 3rd.

Montario Hardesty is a guy i like because of his size and athleticism but the knee injuries scare me.

I'd guess they will pick the top rated DT or RB.

McClain is definitely a solid pickup for the Raiders, one of the safer player in the draft, something that hasn't been the Raider's MO the last couple drafts. I do wonder whether they would have been better off drafting a LT though, their OL is pretty bad and there were some pretty good OL available.

They would have taken Williams or Okung, knew they wouldn't get those two, so they didn't reach on Bulaga (who ended up in a free fall, and after Gallery I doubt Al was in any rush to take another Iowa LT), and now there are a couple nice 2nd round OT prospects available in the 2nd round (Campbell, Saffold, Charles Brown).

Writing was on the wall for Kirk Morrison last night as soon as McClain's name was called.

PFT now reporting he will be traded or released.

PFT says it's Haynesworth for a 3rd round pick to the Titans. I'd do that in a heartbeat, attitude/motivation issues or not. I can't believe nobody is going to top that offer.
