1st Rule in Being a Good Salesman: 'Assume the Sale' The sports media has always loved playing this lose-lose game of gotcha with athletes, because no matter what the player says, there will always be some way to spin their answers to create some sort of sensational story out of it, which is of course exactly what the media wants. Yes it's fun to shut motor-mouths like desean jackson, but Favre, well, if anyone has earned the right to feel confidence, it is him. And Sensabaugh? Well, I would like it better if they just put their heads down and focused on the task at hand, but really, he is just being honest as well. On the field, fellas, on the field!
Michael Irvin right now is saying Miles Austin is the best receiver left in the playoffs. What a tool.
Yeah, Favre has really burned it up in the playoffs the last few times with those game-losing interceptions. Let me correct you: If anyone has reason for self-doubt right now, it's Favre. I'm really having trouble wanting the Vikings to beat the Cowboys tomorrow purely because of Favre. I still intensely dislike the Cowboys and historically like the Vikings. But I wouldn't be too hurt if the Vikings lose tomorrow. I give them the edge assuming Favre doesn't revert to history with the INTs. Vikes/Boys is the real NFC championship game. Today, if the Ravens fall behind the Colts, they will have a hard time playing catchup, especially if Flacco's thigh isn't a lot better than it was last week. The Ravens won't be facing a shaky QB and a team going through the motions. The Colts will load up against the run and force Flacco to make some plays. I promise 4/10 for 34 yards won't work again today.
Not surprising you agree with him. Is Reggie Bush in the Hall of Fame yet? I haven't been seeing much of him lately.
Im a Cowboys fan and even I don't believe Miles Austin is the best receiver still playing in the playoffs. He's playing as good as any of them but until he does it for years on end like Larry Fitz or Reggie Wayne etc he's going to have to keep working and producing to get to that level. And for the record Irving said he was the best receiver still playing in the NFC side of the playoffs. (which still isn't the true)
I'd say he'd be in the top 5 in the playoffs though. 1. Fitz 2. Wayne 3. Vincent Jackson 4. Marquis Colston 5. Miles Austin Kudos for showing sense in your post.
Swing and a Miss. Must be hard being you, and by meaning you... I mean always being 100% wrong. Maybe by 4th grade you'll learn that 13 is usually considered to be a higher number than 11.
I think it's going to be Arizona +7 Colts -7 Cowboys -3 Jets -8 so you can count on the opposite happening.
Well, he's right in one thing... maybe he meant that Miles Austin led the NFL in TDs during that one game vs. KC...
THe Broncos didn't make it, and CinCi is out, so I'm officially on the Cardinals bandwagon. Not a big football guy, but I live in Phoenix, so I might as well join the crowd.
