OVER/UNDER is the expected TOTAL points to be scored in the game.

example: SEA @ GB is 40.5 points. if you think the total score will be higher, you would bet the over.

GB is -8 meaning Vegas expects them to win by 8 or more. this line will change throughout the week depending on how many are betting on which team. the whole point for vegas is to have a line that would have 50% of the people bet on GB and 50% on SEA.

if you think SEA would beat GB after being spotted 8 points to their final score, you would take SEA and the points on your bet...meaning you expect SEA to COVER.

sorry if that explanation confuses you.

First of all there is a spread which is the number of points the favorite is picked to win by.For example in the GB game the "spread" is 8 or so.That means if you like GB they must win by more than 8.Conversely if you like the Seahawks, you get 8 points addded to the score meaning if they lose by 7 or less you win....8 is a push.

Each game has a total which represents the combined number of points scored by both teams. For example in the INDY game the total is 47.If they score over 47 your a winner playing the "OVER".If it goes under 47,playing the UNDER would win.

Now if the casinos tries to get exactly 50% how do they win? I mean either way they pretty much break even?

betting isn't free. if it's exactly 50%, they'll still collect fees from everyone.

    Jax plus 13 at N.E.

In order to have a punchers chance the Jags have to start hitting N.E in the pre-game warm-ups and stop a half hour after the game is over.

They won't win. But the will de-rail the Patriots cover machine.

I also like the Seattle/Pack game to go over 41.5......unless its a full blown blizzard and maybe even if it is.

Well, of course I'm picking the Cowboys, but honestly, they have the better QB and depth...I'm not sure TO will play, but the other guys will step up...The Giants will be dangerous, but I think the better team wins...

As for the other games, GB, NE and Indy will win...I hope the Jags win, but I don't see it...I also want SD to win, but I think Indy is too good...

I think the chargers are going to surprise a lot of people, even without Gates. The Colts are a better team, but the Chargers are no slouches on both offense and defense. The chargers have just as many playmakers on both sides of the ball as do the Colts, if not more. This game is going to be a lot closer then most people think and with a little luck, the chargers will hopefully pull this one out so we don't have to watch 50 more lame peyton commercials.

win or lose, you can't stop Peyton comercials.

I just don't see SD beinig able to pull it out. Do they have talent? yeah of course. But they are just so inconsistant, esp Rivers. I think they'll need the game handed to them if they are to succeed.

I feel that all the home teams will win this weekend. The Giants have the best chance of all the underdogs to win but I expect them to lose like by a field goal.

LMAO @ 2 Cowboys fans picking Jacksonville to win...wishful thinking, eh boys? :p :D
