I told him "Good game and good try but I'm the best corner in the league." Ha, gotta love it (or not).
LOL at Strahan saying Sherman scared Erin Andrews half to death. Sherman came off a lot better once the testosterone had cooled down a bit.
Controversy leads to ratings. Everyone knows that. i don't know why you guys are surprised. We're all watching the post game just to see if Sherman gets on.
If Manning has a wobbly arm, and he threw 55 TDs (iirc), what do the rest of the QBs in the league have?
Yeah it would have been funny as hell if Sherman played it cool till he got back on air then went back into ripping Crabtree.
Nothing about him throwing 55 TDs refutes the fact that his arm is a step slower...an explosive and fast secondary, wont let Manning throw weak passes that hang in the air. An explosive offense can get shut down when faced with a top defense. The adage that defense wins titles will ring true again. He is a total first ballot HOF player, and arguably one of the greatest minds to play the game; but lets not get it twisted, Manning will have to have a perfect game to beat the Seahawks.
If the 49ers can put up 17 points on the road v. the Seahawks, I'm sure Manning will have no problem putting up at least 25 points on a neutral field. It's up to the Seahawks' offense to start putting up points.
Manning (and Brady... and Brees) makes passes based on timing. The ball comes out incredibly quick and gets there in a hurry. There's zero float to their game, unlike the ducks that Kaep and Wilson regularly unleash. The story of the game will be the Seahawks secondary trying to jam the Bronco receivers at the line and disrupt their timing with Peyton.
The 49ers were able to score 17 points bc of the brilliance of Kaep on the ground. Something i thought they went away from a lot in the 2nd half. 3 points were a gift from a fumble. The last drive was the best that the 49ers were able to do through the air. I personally thought they made a huge mistake on 3rd and 2 throwing it to Crabtree. Instead they shouldve taken a timeout early and thought about their attack. The 49ers offense was rolling in that last drive, and that couldve been a signature comeback for Kaep; but they took a huge gamble by taking a shot at the endzone. Points are gonna be a premium when you play against the Seahawks, and the 49ers did their best when they had chances. Really Kaep had a great 1st half and terrible 2nd half.
I am not a Richard Sherman fan. I don't like the Seahawks fans who are so full of themselves that they call each other "twelves" instead of Seahawks fans. I think Carroll cheated in college, and is low class, but fun. But at the end of the game, Sherman actually went to Crabtree, patted him on the butt and reached out to offer his hand to shake for a good game. FOX cut away from that angle and only replayed the angle from behind Crabtree that lacks depth perception and makes it look like Sherman is getting in Crabtree's face. From the side angle that was never replayed (other than on my dvr), Sherman didn't get in his face at all and clearly reached out to offer a handshake. Now, I don't blame Crabtree. For all intents and purposes, they just lost the game and he wasn't in the mood to shake anyone's hand. So he pushed Sherman's facemask. Before or after this "good game" gesture, Sherman did do the choke sign and talk trash towards the 49ers, so I don't know. Anyhow, I don't like Sherman, but I think this incident isn't all terrible behavior, and the face shove set him off on the post-game rant.
Timing routes are exactly what elite defense disrupt. Denver's oline is elite, and I dont anticipate Manning getting dirty during the course of the game...its really if his receivers will be able to have separation and enough time to make plays after the catch. Brady and Brees have the elite arm strength that enables them to play well within the pocket. Its Manning's exceptional mind and average arm that makes him to make prereads and at line adjustments to beat his opponents. He tries to put his receivers in good spots to be able to exploit defenses. The issue really is that Seattle rarely makes mistakes on defense, and if they do, the make it up by making a huge play later on.
Sherman plays the villain role to a T. He tries to be your friend throughout the game, by friendly taps and acknowledging good plays. But once the final whistle sounds, he spends a ton of time ripping those same opponents. Thats his MO...thats his style. I dont like him much, but he is the best at what he does.
Knowing Richard Sherman's past behavior, I doubt that he said anything sportsmanlike to Crabtree during that exchange, and even if he did, I really doubt he did so for any other reason than to antagonize. The football version of trollface, as it were. That's just his M.O.
HUH? You wrote that before and it absolutely isn't true. You've watched Sherman in game before I'm sure. I've watched Sherman in game. Did you see any NFL Turning Point episodes with the Seahawks on it this season? Sherman is an absolute annoying b*stard to opposing Wide Receivers. Not dirty like Cortland "Innegan" but still a dipsh!t. The only opposing wide receivers that he talks to in a friendly fashion during games are legit stars like Anquan Boldin and Steve Smith and even then he still gets into talking trash with them. The only star WR I haven't heard him talk trash to (when mic'd up) is Fitzgerald. With the rest he is the same annoying punk once they step on the field.
