Somehow I feel that Jenkins is overrated. I hope we can trade down.

I can't believe Jenkins's slowness has not dropped him out of the first round.

I am hoping that the Texans trade down and then get Matthews.

The web site that broke the story has retracted and apologized. Matthews appears to be squeaky clean.

Jenkins was a 3 year starter for Ohio State, would have been a Top 10 pick last year, came back for his senior season, and won the Thorpe Award. I don't think a 4.5 Forty is going to drop him out of the 1st round.

Having a CB (or any player for that matter) with 4.3-4.4 speed is nice, but it's not the end of the world if he runs a 4.5. Jenkins has great size, ball skills, and is a very good tackler. I'd much rather have Jenkins than a 4.3 CB who will miss tackles, bite on fakes, or just won't make a play on the ball.

But I'm hoping we trade down as well (if Jenkins isn't available).

Everything I've read has Jenkins as more of a Tampa 2 CB, where they have a safety over the top to help out on the deep routes. The Texans seem to run man to man more often, which leaves the corners on an island. This leads me to believe that either they draft Jenkins as a sefety or he's not going to be the Texans pick. The Texans seem to gravitate more towards speedy corners who can run with wideouts.

    Exactly. 40 times are overrated.

Some people who run a 4.5 40 might be faster, in pads, than people who run a 4.4...remember folks, it's only .1 seconds off. That is like snapping your fingers quick.

In the later rounds, the Texans should draft Rhett Bomar from Sam Houston State. He has a huge arm and could have been a high draft pick if he wasn't released by Oklahoma for violating NCAA rules. He could have been the starting QB for last couple of years at OU. I know the Texans just got Dan Orvolsky, but they should consider drafting Bomar. I think he is a sleeper pick and will have a great pro career.

Bomar is rated in the top 5 for QBs. He'll be gone by round 5 if not 4.

I'm pretty convinced that we're going to see a trade-down and a pick of Clay Matthews. I think that it will be the Eagles who trade up with Knowshon Moreno as their target (fearing that the Chargers want him at #16).

I like Matthews at 21 a lot more than at 15, and getting an extra pick would really help.

Are you defending White Pride or Clay Matthews?

Yes, I do have to ask.

Read the story closer - you don't have all the facts, and you are misrepresenting what happened.

I read the entire story and know all the facts.

    I MAKE JOKE

    HENCE THE COOL SHADED SMILIE-FACE.

But still, even if he has 100 black friends, dates a black girl and has Kanye West on speed dial, it was still a pretty stupid thing to do.
