Is he thinking of him as RB? Hmm... I know they like players that play multiple positions, but couldn't they have gone RB instead of Hill, getting Casey later in the draft?
James Casey is a stellar pick. Trust me, after watching him at Rice the past two years, you will NOT be disappointing. The guy is legit. He can really add an extra dimension to the offense - especially in a wildcat type formation. He has a ROCKET of an arm....used to play minor league baseball and has a 95mph fastball....came into Rice as a QB and played a little there in 2008. He was also used as a Tebow-like runner in short yardage situations. He can get the goal line yardage - easily. Oh yeah, he was also 2nd in the NCAA in receptions last year, and also returns punts. The guy is an OUTSTANDING pick!
Won't matter much, Slaton will be killed by the 5th week, and we'll have no decent HB. We'll go back to our RB by committee which never works.
I guess you can't have enough TEs in a ZBS. (Isn't Barwin capable of playing TE too?) Joel Dreessen must be sweating bullets at this point.
