McGee to the Cowboys makes some sense, it just seems a round too early.
But they have so many picks in the 4th they will probably get the 1st or 2nd choice of their targets anyway.

It'll make a nice headline in The Eagle.

DJ is still available? If he falls to us, take him with no hesitation.

Looks like we can still get Andre Brown or Rashad Jennings after the Cowgirls or Panthers.

I highly doubt both teams need help in the RB dept....

EDIT: Cowgirls pick a CB, now we wait on the Panthers....

    Dallas picks Victor Butler? Wow.

Panthers are up and next up our pick.

I love the second and third round picks. Versatile guys that can play multiple positions are vastly underrated in the draft. The Patriots always have a bunch of them. Barwin has played Tight End and Defensive End. He's an outside linebacker in the NFL, but he could put on some weight and go back to End, heck, he could even see time as a blocking Tight End.

Caldwell can play 3, maybe 4, Offensive Line positions (he at least one start in all five in college), and was four-year starter and a captain for Alabama, and did really well.

    Here's a scout's quote:

    He's a Shane Battier.

After reading that, Caldwell reminds me of our other Bama product, DeMeco Ryans - an extremely intelligent player with top-notch instincts. Really happy with the pick.

ESPN lists him as a safety, and judging by his evaluation and the Texans' needs, I'm guessing that's where Smith projects him.

So he's just a speedster? From the read he sounds tough but I still don't like this pick, we could have picked him up later (much later) in the draft.

Have you watched some of the picks over the past round or so? There have been dozens of projected sixth, seventh and undrafted guys already selected. Once you get beyond the initial tier, overall draft boards from scouts are fairly worthless because there are just so many players and so many factors at play, such as how they fit into a team's system, etc. No way in the world to know whether you could have picked up a player later (or much later) at this point in the draft.

Ah I see, I don't know a whole lot about football.

    Thanks for the heads up.
