But everybody thought, San Diego would be the first place in that division, Broncos looked bad in the offseason, with a rookie coach, a mediocre QB, a WR that didnt want to play with them. And that New England win it was not just the field goal in overtime, the defense didnt let Tom Brady made good passes, they did a lot of pressure on him. Kyle Orton also had 300+ yards passing. it was not only luck that they won that game. and yes they had easy games, but you have to win those games, to keep a good record, you cant afford to lose the easy games, like philly lost against oakland, like washington has lost against kansas city, etc. And Brett Favre started good last season, but in the last 5 games of the season, he went downhill, so lets see.
And last year he was back in the Big Bowl... And then if the Texans don't throw a late pick... Yeah, yeah. I'm most surprised at the Eagles lack of razzle dazzle, being that Vick is in town.
Here's Lee Evans player update from Yahoo. New player notes Tue, Oct 20 WR Lee Evans thinks the Bills won't miss a beat should QB Ryan Fitzpatrick have to start Sunday in Carolina in place of Trent Edwards (concussion). Evans caught a nice 37-yard TD pass from Fitzpatrick and was the target of a season-high 11 passes. (Yahoo! Sports) LOL what a joker. I can't believe the Buffalo Bills as a whole have been so bad. I realize nobody expected them to be very good but I thought TO would be better thus far. I thought TO would draw attention away from Lee Evans and open up looks for him as a deep threat. I thought Trent Edwards would have played much better up to this point. I think Marshawn Lynch will help the running game and get the passing game to open up.
Hakeem Nicks is the best Wide Receiver out of the 2009 draft class. He's got a nose for the end-zone and he will soon surpass Steve Smith and Mario Manningham as Manning's #1 option. If he's still on waivers in your league pick him up stat. If you got Manningham or Smith I'd try and sell high while you still can.
Mike Wallace begs to differ... but he's not surpassing 2 super bowl mvps in the depth chart anytime soon, so feel free to go with Nicks.
hope you're right. of course, he was close to my lowest scorer last week on my way to 162 points in my 14-team pay league!
Not sure if it is a surprise or not but Michael Vick has certainly been a yawner in the City of Brotherly Love.
I'd have to put the Redskins on that list. All those big money players and nothing to show for it, sucks for them.
That's not surprising, that's just the way they have been under Snyder. It was discussed earlier in this thread I believe.
TO has been bad this season. He could talk all he wants now. I doubt anyone would care or listen. His play no longer backs up his smack talk. I'm sure TO would do well if he were on a better team with a primary, star receiver to take the pressure off him. But, TO still has a problem in that you can stop him by playing him physical and not letting him get off the line untouched. If you pressure him at the line, then he does nothing most of the time. And, his ability to create yards on short pass plays appears to be greatly diminished these days. And, he is still the same old ball dropper. I think he should hang it up after this season.
I think it has more to do with Trent Edwards only being an average at best quarterback. The Bills are not a good passing team, so I would not expect TO to put up big numbers. I think Tony Romo has definitely struggles this season as a result of losing him. He definitely is not what he used to be and does not have the greatest hands but is till quite capable of being a #1 receiver on a team with a legitimate quarterback threat.
