Defense has been solid for the last 3 games. They have allowed 14.7 ppg in that stretch, without a point allowed in the second half.

Also, I think we'll win Sunday. I doubt we start 1-3 at home and the 49ers are coming off a loss where they were dominated and allowed 45 points.

Thank you, you said exactly what I was thinking.

This post steps on blind homerism.

I see Raiders in that 3 game stretch.

    Good job against Bengals though.

You'll never understand the scarring and mental anguish Shanahan placed me under the last couple of seasons.

Do you also see the NFC champs in that stretch? But what do I know..I'm just a blind homer.

Btw, don't forget to start Brees this week! :p

lol Those UGA fans are crazy. I remember when some were mad because D.J. Shockley never started when Atlanta drafted him.

Broncos and Titans have been the biggest surprise teams so far. No one thought the Broncos would be any good let alone be 6-0 with wins over some pretty good teams. While I kinda predicted the Titans would be worse, I did not think they'd be winless with some humiliating losses along the way.

That's the only quality win on their schedule which came on a kick in overtime thats nothing to right home about. Their other opponents Cleveland (1-5), Oakland (2-4), San Diego (2-3) have losing records. Dallas (3-2) has been struggling mightly this year and then you have the Bengals you just got exposed by the Texans on Sunday. Again there track record is pretty weak.

I am willing to put money on the Broncos failing down the stretch against better opponents starting next week with Baltimore, Pittsburg then Giants and Colts later in the season. I predict the Broncos to be a 10-6 team right now. Watch how their hot start evaporates once the play some real competetion. Their division sucks so bad that 6 wins are almost guaranteed this year but the rest is going to be very tough to get.

Both of those touchdowns would have been tying touchdowns. That gets you to 3-1-2. They'd need to hold the other team and then score again to win those games.

The Cardinals scored 21 pts on offense still. The Bengals receivers dropped a few balls. The rush defense certainly has improved over the last 3 weeks though.

I'd expect the 49ers to play their best game after a bye week following a terrible performance against Atlanta. Plus they get their best player(Frank Gore) back this week. I think its actually a good test for both teams.

Actually that interception to Rodgers-Cromartie was a game killer, we were driving the ball the down the field setting up for the game winning score but then Schaub made his only mistake of the game. Now the reason fans assume had we scored on that 4th and goal then we would would have won in overtime is because Texans had all the momentum in the second half. Our offense was clicking and the defense shut down Warner and Fitzgerald. That to me was a worse and more heartbreaking loss than the Jags who basically pounded us all game long and we played catch up the rest of the way. Really we should be 4-2 right now.

    You should be 3-3.

The Titans lost to the Steelers because they missed two field goals, if only Bironas could have made one of those two they would have been 1-0. If they had kicked the field goal instead of going for it on 4th down in on the 33 against the Texans(I'm not sure why they did that), or Jacoby Jones' muff counts as a muff, maybe they go 2-0. If the Titans don't muff that punt against the Jets, they go to 3-0.

The Titans could be 3-3 right now. And who knows, with those 3 wins maybe the team wouldn't look like a bunch of quitters out there. They are 0-6, and they deserve to be 0-6 because they didn't make the correct decision, or execute plays they should make. It isn't like you had this happen:

Completely agree. I didn't even expect the Broncos to win 6 times this entire season, to be honest.

We should be X-X. Give it up! It doesn't work. You are what your record says you are. Hey...Cowboys should be 5-0. They can also be 4-1, 2-3, 1-4, and 0-5 if things go differently. What if...? No. I don't care if you are stopped 1st and goal at the 1 yard line. You lost the game. What is the point of the should be X-X? The NFL isn't a "should be" sport. It is a "we did" sport. We won. We lost. But, we should be...or we could be... . No...not without a time machine and a person willing to change the past. Even if you had a time machine, then good luck changing the play(s). lol
