it has to be the Broncos. people were predicting they would be in last place. The Saints. Not that they are good, but they are dominant.

I sure hope that last night will be the last time the Broncos have to wear those hideous throwback uniforms. But then again if they can keep winning, maybe they need to keep wearing the brown striped socks.
Gotta be Denver and especially Kyle Orton. I thought he was just an average QB but he's a much better QB behind that O-line.
Really? I was wondering why they borrowed Alabama uniforms and used them to wipe their asses before they put them on.
They are appalling to me. The whole "AFL history" thing is getting old. It was cool the first couple of games, but these god-awful uniforms and refs looking like Whataburger employees are wearing thin on me. I heard a story about those old Bronco unis, apparently they were only around for a couple years and after they finally changed them due to popular demand... they had a public burning of those old unis.
Biggest surprise? Toss up between New Orleans and Denver being this good and Tennessee being THAT bad. For those familiar with my stance on Favre: I called all of this so there's little surprise from my end. How about adding Hines Ward leading the league in receiving yardage to that list too?
Really forgot about him. He's the reason the guy leading my fantasy league is doing so well. That pick was full of win.
Sorry but I am still not sold on Denver, they play a weak division where no one else has a winning record. The next two games against Ravens and Steelers should give you a better idea of what Denver is all about. Until they can matchup with Pittsburg, Indy, New Orleans, I am going to hold on declaring the Broncos a legit contender. Lets not forget the their meltdown habbits late in the season like last year.
How about the number of teams that look like they would barely be able to compete in the Big 12? I know every year there is a fair number of teams that just plain suck, but this year it seems like there is more incompetence than usual. Kansas City, Cleveland, Buffalo, Washington, Oakland, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Tennessee, and Detroit all look like AWFUL after the first 6 weeks of the season. That's not even mentioning teams like Seattle and Jacksonville who look like world-beaters one week, and pud-beaters the next. It's been a really bizarre year so far.
The same surprise happens every year. At least one powerhouse team looks god-awful, and one POS team looks like it's on course for 12-4 or better.
I'm assuming the win against New England slipped your mind? They also beat two supposedly potent offenses in Dallas and San Diego too. Denver isn't the best team in the NFL by any means but you gotta appreciate a team that traded away a franchise-caliber QB, held onto a malcontent top-tier WR, and did all this while standing behind a coach that looks like he has no business being a head coach in the NFL.
