Now it is time to start mocking the draft. Rather than do an actual "what you think" the teams will pick and try to predict the actual draft, I think it is more fun to actually play GM and select the players you want. First post the team you wish to control. First come, first serve basis. If we do not receive enough interest, then people will be able to control multiple teams with the stipulation that trades cannot be conducted between teams controlled by the same person. Then we will start the draft and picks will be made in order from there. To avoid taking forever, I think it is best to restrict this to the first 99 picks which will be the first 3 rounds of the draft. Here is the official Draft order for the first three rounds. I had fun last year with the 49ers... so give me that one again (it looks like the Niners will be messing with the Texan draft this year). Not having to study the team needs and at least attempt to fill those needs will make it different and a bit easier. But hopefully it will go easier and faster this time... there were a few GMs that didn't show for picks and as a result, a bit of waiting (and also required smarter GMs making the selections for them . I don't think trades happened last time... are they happening this time?
I don't see why not. But since you are playing GM you might not want to mortgage the hypothetical future to move up too high. Everyone should have a good understanding of the Draft Pick Value Chart.
