I did mean in general. He still gets hate from various journo's and media personalities in the Dallas area and even some fans. The guy can simply do no right in the minds of some of those people. There's a sports radio personality I'm thinking of here in Dallas that does not miss an opportunity to rag on T.O.
I know exactly what you mean. I think the thing about it is when he screws up he makes it so damn funny and messed up that you have to laugh about it. It's like- I can't believe he just did that- kinda thing.
From what I have seen and read, they blast him more for his off-field antics than anything he does on the field. The guy produces on the field plain and simple but when you see him in an interview or conversation it is still all about me, me, me and that type of attitude can potentially be devastating when you are playing a team game and it has gotten him in trouble before.
Agreed...The cowboys are pretty well stacked and with Roy being out, they played pretty good... Bring on the Redskins...
I have a particular Dallas sports radio personality in mind when I talk about blasting T.O for anything he does, and true to form he did so again today. In interviews I've seen, T.O has been the consummate professional and teammate. I haven't gotten a me, me vibe from his interviews in the post parcells era.
I like how T.O is playing more mature, yeah he didnt got a lot of receptions, but he did two great plays: 1. blocking for felix jones in his TD run. 2. And coming from behind to tackle the packers player, after the romo interception.
They are looking great, but dont you get the feeling that Romo hasn't got the balls to win the tough games that really count?
You guessed it. I'm a fan of G.A.C any I usually don't take anything he says seriously because he's good at being self deprecating but he does hate on Eldo a little too much.
I don't believe that because it's a team effort. All the crock about Romo hasn't won a playoff game gets on my nerves. What more can the guy do? It ain't exactly golf or tennis. American football is a team sport and it takes every guy on the field to win or lose. The seahawks playoff game could have been won way before Romo fumbled the FG snap. Terry Glenn could have ensured a victory for the Cowboys but it wasn't to be. The Giants game- Romo can't play QB, CB and WR. It wasn't Romo getting destroyed on the deep ball by the Giants WRs and being targeted by Eli. It wasn't Romo dropping easy catches that could have set up a victory- thank you Patrick Crayton! I think the dude has gotten an unfair rap just because a lot of fans of other teams in the nfl are ticked off that he is getting a ton of hype because he plays for the Cowboys. What they fail to realize is Quincy Carter, Drew Henson, Chad Hutchingson, etc played for the Cowboys and didn't get the same hype because they weren't any good. Romo is a good QB(with room to improve) and when you combine that w/ the Cowboys then of course he'll get hyped up but one can't let that cloud their mindset because people are so focused on hating that they forget the guy can actually play.
