Put it this way: if the Panthers had played the Eagles last night, I wouldn't have hesitated to pick the Eagles to win. After watching what they did to Dallas, I was fairly convinced that this Eagles team is the team NOBODY wants to face in the playoffs. They've got it going on in every facet of the game -- two of the best RBs in the league, an elite and mobile QB, receiving talent (although the Cards do have better receiving talent), a great defense with the ability to blitz you into oblivion, a clutch kicker and speed on special teams.

The Eagles have got it going on. They're just under everyone's radar because it took them so long to put things together.

I need another day to think about it. I'm still stunned this ended up being the match.

    Just WOW!

Everybody has swagger and confidence right now, it's not just the Eagles. Tell the Rats or Cardinals they weren't "under the radar". The Rats and Cardinals were just as overlooked as the Eagles were. If anything, more emphasis has been placed on Philly's hot streak given the whole McNabb benching fiasco and how the team responded.

Sure, Philly has the most impressive playoff win so far. I say that because the Giants were the defending champions and a team I feel is better than Tennessee. They deserve major props for that one. All i'm saying is Arizona seems to be a bit of an enigma. They could show up and match Philly's physicality yet I wouldn't be surprised. They could get killed -- wouldn't be surprised. They could get hot and run Philly off the field -- wouldn't be surprised. Sound familiar, Rockets fans?

Please, for the love of all that is good and holy, do NOT PICK THE EAGLES. PLEASE. As I said in the PHI/NJ thread, whenever people have too much faith in Philly, they lose. And as a long time Eagles fan, I can't stand seeing people pick Philly.

So I'm predicting Arizona. They've been playing REALLY well in the playoffs, Kurt Warner looks 10 years younger, they're at home, and Kurt Warner is seasoned and talented enough to deal with constant blitzing. Plus, the team is actually starting to believe that the Arizona Cardinals can go to the Super Bowl. I'm quite worried about this one.

Brandon Jacobs predicted the Eagles to win it all.

    Id take the over.

I agree that this is a pretty bad showdown for best in the NFC, but hey, they beat who they played, so what else can you ask for?

I had said that I felt like the Eagles would go to the Superbowl at the beginning of the postseason, but I just feel there are too many holes on this team. They beat the Vikings with essentially a screen pass. They beat the Giants, but rivalry games always take a different dynamic in the postseason, ya know? I guess I just don't trust mcnabb- that phone penalty was just stupid, and I am not too confident of in their defense. I hope they prove me wrong tho

After week 16 (arizona losing badly against NE, and philly losing against washington) nobody would thought that philly and arizona are going to play the NFC Championship!

Amazing how those two teams can get hot in the playoffs, and beat ,the 1 and 2 teams on the conference.

I dont think philly is going to dominate, like they did on thanksgiving game, but I dont who is going to win, It will be a close game.

i have a feeling that the eagles will win, but if the cardinals play like they are capable of, they might win it, like in carolina.

i'll go with the eagles by a touchdown and a field goal because of their defense.

As a Philly fan myself, I can see where you're coming from but as many people have been saying it just seems that Philadelphia has destiny on its side. I'll be rooting for the Eagles obviously and I will never pick against them. Eagles for the win!

I really hope that Boldin is healthy for this game. The Eagles will blitz and Warner (the best QB vs. the blitz) will shred them especially if he as Anquan running slants in the middle.

He wasn't that great vs. the blitz in that week 14 matchup on Thanksgiving. He threw three TDs yes but he threw an interception for each TD thrown. I know you're going to say the Arizona team is different from the one that played several weeks ago and they are but can you deny that Philly is much improved as well?

Please read up on Warner's stats vs. the blitz in 2008 (they were very good).

Where can I find these stats? I wasn't saying that he was terrible versus the blitz all the time but versus the Eagles in week 14 he wasn't great. He completed only 53% of his passes while throwing 3 tds but 3 ints WITH a healthy Anquan Boldin.

I would love to see a Ravens-Eagles Superbowl.

Arizona surprised me, but I can't see them making it interesting vs. Pitt or Balt
