Scouting Report: Extremely impressive penetrator who literally can maneuver where he chooses ... Can move with as much fluidity as he does speed ... Nice stop-start control on the hesitation dribble ... Excellent finisher despite his size ... A rhythm shooter on the perimeter ... Successfully converts with range from the standstill position with little cushion from his defender ... Release is on the floppy side, but it works for him ...Remarkably is always aware of his teammates no matter what he's doing ... Discovers passing angles that seemingly shouldn't exist ... An awesome rebounder in the paint at 6-1, anticipates the carom and gets off the floor quickly ... Also tracks down long misses ... Clutch free-throw shooter ... Presence has helped to turn the program around.

Also..... the scouting report failed to mention that Nelson is a lock-down defender.

I'd like to see him in a Rockets uni, but hell no, Steve and Cato are not going for him and a few draft picks. Yeah, you gotta take risks, but that's a huge risk.

A little off the topic of Nelson I suppose, but I don't think the draft is the best place for us to look to solve any of our problems...
