Speaking of dignity, the Bobcats weren't all that keen on getting Bonzi Wells. After all, he was offered a straight contract for, say, 5 million, and with Bonzi Wells' character, I don't think he will take it lightly that the Bobcats put him in second place.
He won't get the full MLE from the Heat, Riley has vowed not to put the teamin luxury tax land, and the full MLE would definitly put them in that territory. If the Kings want to help us we can offer the most money but it will be on a "rental" basis. Bobcats can offer the most money outright (i.e. without help from the Kings) but offer the worst team. The Nuggets can hardly offer anything but have the best situation as far as PT and an opportunity to play for a contract next year. I give us about 23% of signing him, I'll say the Bobcats are about 43%.
At this point I am starting to concern more about the potential chemistry problems Bonzi might bring to this team than the benefits. It's safe to assume he is not valuing the Rockets highly.
All I know is if the team doctors aren't giving Tracy a 110% bill of health we better be offering the trade exception plus whatever excluding Yao, Tracy, or Battier for Bonzi. If Tracy is healthy well... I'd rather have a big.
I dont think its safe to assume that. He probably doesnt wanna sign for 2.1 M straight up and thats completely understandable. He is worth more than that for sure.
I like it when poll starter let us vote for all of the choices, it means I can't be wrong unless the poll starter gives me bad choices; then it damn you poll starter
It depends on whether Bonzi wants to win (Rockets) or if he wants the most money (Bobcats). I dont see the nuggets getting his services.
So glad he ended up here. Yes I bumped a useless old thread.........I can't wait for the season to start......so deal with it.
WTF!!! Bonzi hasnt played a game for the Rockets and these Rockets fans are already polling where Bonzi will be send out next week. But on the flip side, these fans also hope Bonzi to help the Rockets to compete this season. Make sure where you want to go guys. Walking in two directions wont get you too far.
