multiple choice is much better for this kinda topic really, noone has a clue where this guy will end up I had to pick the bobs and houston
Bobcats. The Rockets will go on the cheap like the Mike James 900K trade kicker and not offer the Kings enough to seal the deal. ("Yea CD, we'll get back to ya'all first thing next week on that 2nd rounder"...laughter in background as Maloofs hang up teleconferenced phones...).
Bobcats have the most money and possibly offer the most playin time unless they want morrison to get major time. If so, I think he'll come to houston. Wallace and morrison are goin to be their startin 2 and 3. The nuggets might b interestin but they wanted JR as their SG. Miami is very close to the tax cap and it would be a much better version of the old memphis team (posey, williams, and wells) but he wont major playing time. The rockets need a solid starter and wells would b perfect. The kings cant b too picky, they are going to lose him anyways so i say a 2nd rounder and the TE is more than enough to seal the deal. Wells wants a short term deal so he can become a free agent. I was wondering if we use the TE, how long is that for, ie can he leave next year?? If so, i think hell show up here
Denver gives him the best chance to showcase his skills / scoring and earn a big, multi-year contract next year.
Charlotte have to spend 9 mil, 3 of that is currently on offer to Ely. If Bonzi doesn't sign there, it'll be because his agent wa hardballing for a bigger or longer term deal.
Sad but true. Then we find out the only thing that killed the deal is that CD wouldn't include Ryan Bowen in the deal. Les needs to grow a pair and go into Lux Tax land to make this happen. It will pay for itself in ticket sales.
I say the Nuggets. They just seem like the best fit. They couldn't shoot threes last year, and they led the league in technical fouls. Bonzi will be right at home with them.
I read some articles about how Denver can offer Bonzi 3 mil. How does that work? I thought they already gave most of their MLE to Reggie Evans. Can somebody clarify that for me? Where does the $3 mil number come from?
Bonzi gets 2.1 mil here and becomes a big part of our team. or 2.5 from Miami and chance to win but lessened role. I think he'll go for us, but just as a rental.
If he comes here.....and the team stays healthy (yao and Tmac) ...i think once the younger players grow a little during the season..we'd be a very tough team come playoff time.... Ming Howard Battier Wells Mcgrady that would be a pretty solid line-up sometime during the game...if jvg chooses to play tmac at the point here and there. im saying denver tho....so bring back CATO!! HAHAHAHA
FA's want 3 things: 1. more money 2. a big role (PT, shots, touches...) 3. to win one way to look at it: the bobcats can offer the most money. the bobcats can offer the biggest role. the heat can offer the most success. looks like the bobcats are the best pick. another way to look at it: the nuggest can offer the least amount of money. the heat can offer the smaller role. the bobcats can offer the least amount of success. looks like the rockets are the best pick. if i was bonzi, it would be between these 2 teams.
I say Heat if money being offered is similar everywhere...the more recent champions always have the edge.
It pisses me off that I laughed at that. yeah, i felt guilty for laughing. \ FA's want 3 things: 1. more money 2. a big role (PT, shots, touches...) 3. to win one way to look at it: the bobcats can offer the most money. the bobcats can offer the biggest role. the heat can offer the most success. looks like the bobcats are the best pick. another way to look at it: the nuggest can offer the least amount of money. the heat can offer the smaller role. the bobcats can offer the least amount of success. looks like the rockets are the best pick. if i was bonzi, it would be between these 2 teams. i agree. rockets actually seem like the least risky yet still offer big rewards. 1) he will get plenty of chances to score. tmac and yao will get their 50 or so a game and bonzi doesnt have much competition for numbers after that. 2) chance for a championship...long shot but tmac/yao playing great and it could happen (fingers crossed) 3) if tmac or yao does get hurt (knock on wood) then bonzi could really showcase his stuff. 4) prove he is a team player. unfortunately, even though miami would probably not yield the best stat-season he would have a good chance to win. charlotte is guaranteed numbers, guaranteed losing season and very little media spotlight. but ultimately it comes down to what those teams offer and want (i.e. how do they want to pay lux tax? do they want him for long term? etc)
I voted Bobcats simply because of the money. Denver isn't a good fit for him and Miami's in a situation where thery're probably foing to low-ball him (won't give him the full MLE) but in both those situations he can't be sure how much pt he'll get. But here he's an automatic 3rd (possibly 4th) banana and I think he'd have severe adjustments to make. If he does come here I'll give him more than the benifit of the doubt, but I don't see him doing it. And this has zero to do with CD, it's just a very nice outside chance and that's how we should view it.
