That's sucks. One of the appeals of Gannon was the possibility of having an experienced HC like Reich as OC.
Well, Benjamin Albright is depressing. The question becomes, did no one else interview Jonathan Gannon because they knew he wanted to be in Houston, or because they weren't interested? I'd wager that they weren't interested. Which is much of the same for Houston. To me, that is the kind of disappointment I was expecting at some point during this coaching search. I mean, Gannon is not a bad coach to hire, imo, but once again, this coaching search was a sham. They knew who they wanted before the search began. Nothing has changed, as we all suspected. Caserio needs to go.
Unfortunately it seems to be heading in that direction. I heard that Gannon will be interviewing for Arizona. But I believe it will be Quinn or Flores in Arizona, Demeco goes to Denver and Gannon goes to Houston. Seems it was in place the whole time but the fans got hope of something different. I think they will all be made clear come next week.
Absolutely. It will be interesting. If we hire Gannon, I'm okay with it, just not as happy as I could be. But what it represents is a confirmation that Lovie was picked by Cal and that Caserio has been told to prove it. That may be a good thing or bad thing, but it seems that ownership will have finally sat down at that point.
This all seems like a bit of a leap from a tweet based on someone's personal opinions. Not saying it don't be true, but it seems a bit speculative at this point.
It's the Texans, so I'm still operating on the assumption they will hire a TE or WR coach that no one else interviewed. I consider it a win if they get an OC or DC.
Exactly, the Texans have put us in the position to always expect the worse. Gannon won’t be a bad hire.. just underwhelming.. doesn’t mean it won’t be a success.. just blah..
It's weird how much stock is being put in his tweets. He's a Broncos guy. Even if he has legit sources, he only has access to the Broncos side of this. As far as I've seen, nobody knows what Demeco wants. Frankly, the more fervently he tweets about how the Broncos are a lock for Demeco, the more it feels like he's trying to convince himself.
Honestly didn't know much about him, but he's posted here a lot, so I assumed he was reputable. The Broncos angle is interesting. Didn't know that.
