I just pray we didn’t break some sort of rules that would cost us a 1st & still not get Payton lol. Wouldn’t that be something
**** that guy. Let them get nothing he’s only got one year left on his deal. Gruden wasn’t worth 2 firsts and Payton isn’t either.

I do not want Demeco. He took over a loaded 49er defense and kept running the same scheme. Also he supposedly wants Anthony Lynn as his OC. That's a pass for me.
Man, I absolutely hate this nothing-burger style of journalism. "DeMeco may like the current consensus #1 QB who happens to be from his alma mater, but like...he might also like the 2 biggest defensive monsters in this draft. Lols." I know it's not that big of a deal, but it just really grinds my gears.
Would make more sense to come to Houston and bring Lance with him somehow and take Anderson at pick 2.
If Texans zero in on Demeco and there's mutual interest, what is expected process from there? Can nothing happen until 49ers are knocked out of playoffs? Would media leak he is likely to accept the job?
I wasn’t ignoring Kubiak but his tenure ended, what, an entire decade ago! That’s quite some time in between your last “best“ HC and the most recent garbage we’ve had to deal with. I was more so focusing on the most current of HC hires but since you bring up Kubiak, his tenure here wasn’t without question marks. He had an abysmal 2-10 season that led to the #1 pick before taking off, two terrible 6-10 seasons, and a couple more mediocre 8-8 performances from his teams. Again, I’m not discounting the fact that he actually won some division titles, but when that’s all you can really hang your hat on within your time here in Houston, that’s just not good enough. At least not for me. It really took the effort of a HOF QB to get him his HC ring. DeMeco isn’t my preferred candidate for this job but I could see other guys that were much less fitting for the job much less a frickin interview. I honestly would like Payton, if the price was right.
Jimmy G is an injury-prone QB who wants $25-$30 million a year. No thanks. He is not good. There is a reason the 49ers drafted Lance.
Lance is not going anywhere. Why would you want him anyway. He has shown nothing. 49ers would try to get a 1 for him anyway. No thanks.
