i don't care if we win or lose. as long as we improve offensively and keep our defensive pressure, we're going to win our share of our games. we're still a work in progress offensively. spurs and mavs are veterans in theirs. i won't get mad if we lose.
we sure can take Dallas...not sure abt Spurs...but we have Bonzi aka Spurs killer...hopefully they can win one of those games
We have been very competitive whenever we have faced the Spurs - since they do coast in the regular season its not unfathomable that we might win... Although playing them on a back to back after Dallas does change a few things.
Still not a big deal until the Rockets have played Adelman's system long enough to feel comfortable and he has locked in a rotation.
Yeah when you say test, I hope you aren't expecting to win both these games. The test is, can we hang with these teams during the game and then play up to and above their level towards the end of the game when it counts? Will our new style prevail where our old style failed? These two games should show a little of how much we have grown and a lot of how much we have left to go. LETS GO ROCKETS.
yea thats true especially this yr this team is more balanced offensively and defensively, so we def. can match up with Spurs....but the bench needs to step up big when we face Spurs since the starters would probably be tired out after playing with Dallas.
dallas has looked sluggish bc (1) josh howard has not played this season due to suspension (2) devin harris missed last game due to injury
Those 2 teams are going to act and say like its any other game in a young season while the Rocket players are already acting and saying like these are statement games after the Blazer game. It's clear who has proven themselves in recent years and who hasn't.
They may be thinking that in their heads but that's not what I heard coming from their mouths. They give both teams their props as the best (creme of the crop) in the league. But not saying these games are defining moments as this is just the beginning of the season. Tracy even pointed out how they beat Dallas by 40 in the first meeting last year and then proceeded to lose the rest. So a victory against either doesn't mean much more than another win this early in the season. Of course beating both of these teams in back to back games would go along way in boosting their confidence and instilling a belief they can compete with the elite. I personally thought the Rockets would be 3-2 or even 2-3 after 5 games. You know having to learn a new system and so many new faces and all. So if the Rockets manage to win just 1 I will be very happy. So unless this team gets blown out 2 nights in a row I don't expect it to affect their confidence in the team and the future.
Ooh, Mavs tonight and Spurs tomorrow.... A toughie! The Rockets will pull it though... PLEASE! GO Rockets!
