we can most defintely lose both of these games, especially since it's on a back-to-back. 1 out of 2 will make me happy.
With the current roster, I say rox can beat both of them, but both Yao and TMac have to have their A-game to do that
It's still way too early for any real "test". If you remember last year, the Mavs started 0-4 and ended the season with the best record. I say gives us a couple months when the team is really in sync with each other to see hoe we fare against certain "test".
I really think it's to early to tell anything from the next two games. It's too early in the season for any team to be written off or crowned champs. I don't put much stock into games before Feburary.
I think we have a great shot at both of these games, however we MUST have better PG play and Battier has got to make some shots, he was off againts Portland. However, I think the bigger test will come later this month when we have to play 6 games in a row against the Lakers (Nov. 14th), Spurs (16th), Suns (17th), Mavericks (21st), Heat (23nd) and Nuggets (24th).
if we win these next two games we'll be talked about on every media outlet to be the next champs i guarantee it
To win Yao Ming must change his attitude ! He must play like the game depends on him and score at least 30. No more just being a contributor, Yao Ming must play like a leader for a change, it's about time for him to emerge!!
i think it's a breath of fresh air to see guys like tmac and rafer really attacking the other team. it started with james and bonzi being very aggressive, followed by scola. the whole team has it now. my point here is that the mavs will be knocked back on thier (high) heels. the spurs, however, will not.
how were the lakers not a "real test"? especially after the way they dismantled phoenix the following game.... IN PHOENIX. don't discredit a road win against a western conference playoff team so quickly. but i am pumped for these next 2 games.
I wish the road game was on the second night instead of the first. As it is, the Rockets are underdogs in both. I say 40% chance we lose both, 15% chance we win both, and 45% chance we split.
Then, we lose the next two games after that (MIL,CHA) and every media outlet talks about us being Pretenders. Followed by a 2-Hour special on the possibilities of where Kobe Bryant could be traded to.
i hope we dont lose because if we do, good lord... some haters here are gonna explode like big trouble in little china.
I see us 5-0. Call it optimistic, but I'm feeling realistic. They've played well so far, but I think these next two games are going to be the true showcase of how great our new bench is. Mike James, Bonzi Wells, and Luis Scola are such a huge burst of intensity if we start off struggling -- that gives confidence to the whole team. Rafer is due for a great three point shooting night -- we know how he is, and he always came through against the Mavs last year -- and Shane's shot will be falling soon too. I'm hyped, can't wait.
The rockets will be 5-0 after these two games. And some fans will find some new 'real tests'. That's the prediction.
I'd say we'll split this. We have a better shot at taking the Mavs than the Spurs. If we have a week in between these two elite teams, MAYBE we might pull it off. But a back to back is another case. We're not at the point where we can go head to head against elite championship caliber teams. Perhaps some day, but not this week.
Rockets beat Dallas and lose to Spurs I want them to win both but, Spurs are going to be a handful on the second night of back/back. Maybe we can see Wells play like the Spurs killer of old. No matter how the games turn out, they will be a good test of character.
