NEWSFLASH:Obama leaving campaign trail to visit grandmother

I will tell you this. I am a reluctant Obama supporter but if this comes out before the election as a ploy and Obama's grandmother isn't sick. I will personally campaign for McCain, donate money to McCain's campaign, denounce Obama as being the worst kind of politician possible both here online and publically. If it comes out after the election I will make sure to vote Republican for the Federal races in 2010 and 2012.

I think it takes a particular brand of narcism and ruthlessness to run for President but I honestly have a hard time buying that Obama, or McCain for that matter, would do something like that.

It's funny how two threads in the same day can sum this board up just perfectly. In one, you have liberals denouncing the "shots fired" at the McCain campaign bus and in this thread, you have conservatives criticizing Obama for how he's going about getting to his ill grandmother and even saying it's a lie.

OMR... about questioning the sincerity of Obama's move, don't be an ass.

Look at the campaign thus far. McCain has already been negative, and lately that's all he's been. Obama has never shied away from it, and even dared McCain to say the Ayers stuff to his face.

McCain whimped out in person and gave some sort of half-ass mention, while stating that he didn't care about Ayers as a washed up terrorist.

Once that happened, Obama set the record straight and told McCain to his face that doing all that negative crap said more about McCain's campaign than it did about Obama.

Obama came out and told McCain about people at McCain/Palin rallies saying things like "terrorist" and "kill him". Obama isn't scared of McCain's lame negative attacks. He welcomes them because they make McCain look worse and worse.

And since you don't know a thing about what's going on with Obama's family, who are you to question it?

 

I share your cynicism of politicians, but Obama has been on the campaign trail for quite some time and hasn't done any flaky stunts like this before. If he had pulled some earlier erratic stunt like "suspending" his campaign for the economic crisis, I'd be skeptical too. But for the most part, his campaign has steady as she goes.

Why, yes you did! Did you see libs around here high-fiving and whoopin it up over Jesse Helms' death? Why, yes you did! OOPSIE DAISY.
