David Robinson doesn't get jack from the officials, just like Hakeem didn't during this day. In fact I heard Hubie Brown go off on a tangent about it 2 weeks ago saying that David Robinson is a Hall-of-Famer and one of the 50 greatest players and doesn't get any respect and I agree. What Pippen did was leadership, that was just a stupid, childish tantrum. You can't do that at any point, especially against the 2-time defending world champions! I can't believe that calls in that game, that game was so blantantly favored towards the Lakers it was unreal. Why in the world woudl they do that? Looks like the Lakers might be th #3 seed in the West.

RM-You obviously don't remember D-Rob from the mid-90s. He, along with Malone was always leading the league in FT attempts. Yes, I know he took the ball to the rack a lot, but Olajuwon often times would get called for BS fouls against D-Rob.

The Blazers will beat the Lakers in the 1st round of the playoffs if they meet.

Counting Crow has some serious cajones.

I'd like to get in on the bet too... For the Lakers side.

Why would crow bet straight up with you when he could probably get 10-1 odds betting on the Blazers through an online betting site? :)

Seriously, I hate LA, but not to where I'd go that extreme. I'd bet on the Blazers taking a game from LA, but I don't think they psychologically have what it takes to win one or two games in LA. I'll definitely bet on the Spurs in the next round, though... :D

Cat-Vegas will love you, if you bet on SA over LA.

    Actually He really isn't.

I met him several times in San Antonio, when I there.

He was with that team for 4 years I think, and I maybe only saw one bad isolated incident.

But you can look at Rasheed Wallace and count as many as 4 in one game.

    PUNK, I think not

Portland winning that series should be more like 25-1 against in Vegas. Portland winning 1 game is probably 4-3 against or maybe even money.

Your guys are easy money. Everybody is understimating the Lakers and Kings. Nobody else has a prayer. The Lakers are a sure thing, until they play the Kings. And then I am not so sure. I would take the Kings if I could get say 2-1 against them winning (pay $1 to win $2).

Derek Anderson isn't a punk. And I'd be willing to make a bet that Portland will take LA out in the first round.

Why has everyone forgotten that Chris Webber goes AWOL during the playoffs?

The Kings are a very soft team to begin with, then when Webber plays like a pu$$, they are 5X's even softer.

Webber must play like a man on a mission for the Kings to win. It hasn't happened yet in the playoffs, nor do I expect it to.

The Lakers biggest hurdle is SA. Though I think LA would win in 5 or 6 against SA.

This isn't Chris Webber's team, it is a team built around Chris Webber, there is a big difference. The addition of Bibby, and the emergence of Peja as an all-star caliber player, makes a huge difference. They were a very good team w/o Webber this year, they don't need him to play out of this world, they just need him to bring a B+/A- game. Even Shaq has essentially said this is the only team for them to be concerned about.

SA will be much easier for the Lakers to take out than Sac or maybe even Dallas. Since noone can stop Shaq, you have to score enough on the Lakers to keep it close where Shaq can't close you out very efficiently. Those teams can score, as good as Duncan is (probably league MVP because Shaq has missed games) they just don't have near enough weapons outside of him to be a threat. But if Sac or Dallas get hot, they can beat anyone, although I think Sac can also play real good team defense which seperates them from Dallas.
