RicBucher FWIW: disparate opinions among gms, agents, league HQ officials today about where LeBron is going, but consensus on 1 thing: it's not Mia.

i hope lebron ddint actually say that...to think he can win a "couple" rings within 3 yrs...he needs to be realistic, one ring is more like it.

RicBucher Unofficial Bucher poll results of those I've spoken to today: 4 for Cle, 3 for NY. Not sure why Chi got no love but it didn't.

RicBucher Reason for skepticism: LBJ wd be 3rd-highest paid, it's Wade's town, brand unquestionably tarnished, still at least a yr away from title.

Well, I guess James is getting what he wanted. Everyone is talking about Lebron James. It seems rather cruel to keep all these fans for all these different teams on the edge of their seats for this long. It really does look like James is just playing games to keep everyone in suspense. I hope he chooses Cleveland for the sake of the fans, but James has really turned off a lot of fans all around the league.

whats funny is that espn has been saying all day that all signs say lebron going to miami.

but they are the ones airing the decision tonight. shouldn't they NOT be leaking any info so they can up the viewers for tonight?

i think he stays in cleveland. if he leaves he will never be welcome in his home state again. he would be creating a really ugly karma sh$tstorm. i don't think he is man enough to jump ship like that. if he does go to miami, i wish nothing but disastrous results for the divas.

It is really disgusting. The Miami leaks only increase viewership, as people were starting to assume it was going to be Cleveland. It's intentional and the exact opposite of anything approaching journalism. YUCK. GO AWAY ESPeBron

they are in a bad position...reporting nothing at all while everyone else is won't help their ratings.

I hope you're right and I feel the same exact way. I think he's man enough to jump ship but I hope he's man enough to stay in his home town.

Isn't this a lose lose situation wherever he ends up? If he stays in Cleveland, he goes back to the alleged "incompetent and choker teammates" that have helped him get the best record in the NBA last 2 years with 60 + seasons, if he goes to Miami he hurts his legacy, if he goes to NY, he hurts his championship chances (least impressive supporting cast), goes to Chicago always under the shadow of Michael Jordan and compared to him. This is a mess. It shouldn't have gotten this far. Bron should've kept things on the DL...he asked for this and he's going to get immense backlash wherever he ends up and gonna draw the wrath of NBA fans worldwide

well...looking at the past...lebron showed he doesnt have alot of patience...he's one of the few superstars, next to maybe dirk...who seem to pressure the team into bringing new talent at all costs and dont really consider how they'll fit. As much pull as he had on the team he should have moderated that a lot better and had more patience. There was a yahoo quote recently where a friend, i believe, said Lebron is very indecisive and often makes decisions at the last second, such as this one...so connect that to the moves made by cleveland and i think lebron's indecisiveness is what hurts him. He'll end up making bad moves because of it. This could be one of them.

Completely agree - image-wise, the best choice is going back to Cleveland. But they have no real assets and no opportunity to truly contend for the foreseeable future (pretending with these great regular seasons followed by playoff flameouts doesn't count). It would be the same boring story back in Cleveland...does he want to be beloved in his hometown but 30 yrs old, miserable, and ringless?

The backlash by going to Miami will be there at the beginning, but who cares once they're on top of the world winning rings and he's averaging 25, 9, and 7 as finals mvp? Magic had Kareem and Worthy as well, and we still hear Magic and Kareem universally regarded as top 5 players of all-time. Frankly, the Lakers winning every year is getting old and people should be intrigued/excited to see a new sheriff in town.

On the other hand, Scott can actually coach. It would be interesting to see what Cleveland can do with a real coach and whether LeBron would be accepting of being coached.

Well if Lebron goes to Miami, goodbye Mr. Spolestra...he will suffer the same fate as SVG, Pat Riley will step in here
