Prediction: LeBron has a change of heart at least 10 times.

Lebron and Wade can play all the lock down defense they want and they're going to have to but I still think Chris Bosh is going to be the weakest link and have a tough time against other Big's in the East. The Heat superstars better take a paycut and get somebody like Brendan Haywood and others to sign otherwise they're in trouble.

They sure as hell weren't in their prime but they (Drexler and Hakeem) both had Championship experience and Barkley was no virgin to going deep in the playoffs.

Drexler, Barkley and Dream really were 3 wise men and there was no selfishness and they really were in it to win it. It's a shame they didn't. Barkley and Drexler literally hated each others guts as it's well storied and these two looked passed their personal differences. I don't know if Wade/James/Bosh can all stick together when the going gets tough. Especially Wade and James who are 2 alpha-dogs.

A 34 year old Drexler put up 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5.7 assists to go along with 2 steals and .5 blocks

A 34 year old Olajuwon put up 23 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1.5 steals

A 33 year old Charles Barkley put up 19 points, 13.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists, a steal and a block per game.

I'm not debating whether these guys were in their prime or not cause age wise they sure weren't and even though production might say otherwise it's just a testament to how good they were in their prime and how good they still were at that age.

The point I'm trying to make is these guys looked past their egos, they knew what it took to win, they produced as evidenced by above and if you were to look at their numbers from a purely statistical point of view you'd think they were still in their prime.

I don't think Bosh can touch either Barkley or Olajuwons numbers and I'm thinking Wade will put up similar numbers to Drexler. Obviously Lebron will put up his usual numbers but The Rockets surrounding cast of Elie, Johnson and Willis were old as hell too but they knew their roles and each contributed in regards to their specialty.

In terms of the best trios of all time I'm still going with Drexler, Barkley, Olajuwon followed by the Celtics big 3 from a few years ago of KG, Pierce, Allen.

Call me crazy but Lebron and Wade are just too repetitive for my taste and I have a feeling Bosh is going to have a break down and be the weak link. I just have a gut feeling. He just doesn't play very big to me both physically and mentally.

i dont know i keep feeling all this is being leaked out just to prop ratings up for espn

but if true thats fine with me makes those NY picks better

also stern will have to take a serious look into player tampering and just tampering in general because there was WAAAAAAAAAAY too much of it going on this nba season

Do you HONESTLY think a team with those 3 will last a "few years" without winning a championship??

Anything short of them winning a championship in year 1 would be major disappointment and all kinds of fingers will be pointing. Which is what I honestly think is going to happen.

Wade is only breaking down from now on. His body wont last more than 3-4 years.

Bosh is a right handed Abdur-Raheem, he isn't a winner.

LeBron is the only one I'm worried about...

Even if it's true, Miami will still be Dolphin town. That will never change.

What are you basing this one, he's played his entire career in the Eastern Conference.

Wade's won a ring and LeBron's been to the Finals.

You might be right, but Wade and James are both unselfish players. And I wouldn't be surprised if Wade was willing to take on the Pippen-role of being more of a facilitator.

Bosh doesn't really have to be Barkley or Dream, he just has to be Bosh.

Shouldn't we wait for the games to be played before we make that determination (and no love for the '80s Lakers or Celtics)?

Who knows, you could be right. But you really can't deny the dynasty potential here.

I'm beginning to think that chris broussard's sources are just things he reads on message boards like this one.

It will take some time to build a good set of role players. All three will have to play at a high level and they can't afford any injuries. The following year will probably be a lockout. It might be 2012 or 2013 before they have the glue guys to win it all.

1 - I dont presume to know what the Heat thinks, but i'm pretty sure they dont think they have no chance at winning it all the next 5 years with Bosh and Wade as their core.

2 - Bostons Big 3 will be Bostons Big 1 in another year... if not already. Ray Allen is already no longer an allstar level player, with KG not far behind. While Pierce is still a good player, how much longer is going to compete at that level? The magics?? The Celtics?? Are you serious? You think they will be able to compete, let alone beat a Wade/Bosh/Bron team the next 5+ years?

3 - Lakers last won 3 in a row in 2003, why the hell would i complain about that? The wcf playoffs were extremely competitive. They didnt dominate the entire league those three years like the Bulls did. They didnt win 6 outta 7 nor did they win 70+ games NOT even close. In fact they're reign (battling the spurs/kings/portland was similar to the great battles of the 80's with Bird/Magic/Moses/Hakeem/Isiah/etc. If you are refering to this years lakers, they've only won 2 and a faaaaaaaar cry from what the MJ and the BULLS did.

We could really loot Miami of future picks to give them a roleplayer who could help them out on a run now.

Btw, reports are Hahn is already backing off this report and Butcher did the same. Possibly the same source?

Anyways, tomorrow morning there will be another flurry of rumors that Lebron is leaning toward another city. Rinse, repeat 2x by 9pm ET.

Err, calm down fella. All I said was that it'll take time until they become an unstoppable dynasty. Maybe the Big 3 + Minimum 9 can win a title right away, or maybe not. But in my opinion, if you give them a couple years to build up their roster, then they're going to start winning all the titles in dominant fashion.

    Two questions:

    1. Are they going to bring matt maloney in to run the point?

    2. Who's going to guard yao in the finals?

This might be the most top heavy team in league history, if true.
