Not sure how credible this is, but one of my friends from college who lives in Miami told me that his friend who's a realotor informed him that Lebron James purchased a home in Coral Gables earlier today (Coral Gables is where the University of Miami is located, very rich area, also where Alex Rodriguez lives). We'll see if there's any truth to that tomorrow
In the end, the Rockets swoop in at the last minute and pull of the S&T for LeBron. The world is left dumb-founded at our awesomeness. This is what I'll be dreaming about tonight.
A franchise player, so we can build towards a championship in a few years. Or they could keep shuffling the bottom of the deck with late 1st rounders.
Already posted. Someone also mentioned he has been linked to 2 other cities as well. According to Hahn, LBJ to Miami is going to happen, according to Dudley, LBJ has already told NY he is going to sign. According to the beat writer in Chicago, Cleveland is still the frontrunner.
how so? weren't the Cavs the best team in the league last year? If the Heat replace them, there hasn't been any shift of power at all. The Cavs were favorites to win the championship last season, it will be the Heat this year.
Now always. Besides, being unselfish on an All Star squad for a tournament is quite different from sharing the ball and sacrificing personal glory season after 82 game season. The Boston guys each accepted a hit to their personal stats, but they were/are older.
RicBucher Never tweeted LeBron was in Mia. A source said he was. Passed it on to the mothership. Made a 2nd call, told he was in Akron. Killed report. RicBucher But the insanity is rising: the 1 source came at me hard that LBJ to Mia is done. Only way I go w/one source on that is if it's LBJ/Mav.
If a trio of Drexler, Barkley and Olajuwon couldn't win it all I wouldn't be so quick to crown the new Heat yet. Besides, unless the Heat get a legit center and some pure shooting 3 point threats their road to a championship may not be as easy as some are making it out to be.
That would be the interesting thing to watch. How are they going to react when their averages go down? They're not going to average 80 ppg between the 3 of them like they did on separate teams.
At first, when all the rumors were on NY, I was kind of scared. But now, if I had to bet my paycheck, I'd say all of these things are bluffs, and Lebron's going back to Cleveland. All we need now is "multiple sources say Lebron signs with Chicago" and ESPN will get godly ratings from everywhere tomorrow.
Different situation. Hakeem and Clyde were 34 and Charles was 33. They weren't entering their prime like LBJ, Wade, and Bosh are. That said, I wouldn't crown them either until they get a decent supporting cast.
Drexler, Barkley, Dream were unfortunately not in their prime. LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are in their prime. All I know is if LeBron signs with Miami, I will be the biggest hater ever towards the Heat. Where's the competitive nature of the superstars nowadays? When did these pinky swear arrangements start happening?

If true, I am shocked. Totally. One of the worst sports cities in America will now have the most "glamorous" team in the NBA. If there is one person who could talk these 3 guys into playing on the same team, it's Riles. If there is one person who could cobble together a championship roster around these guys on the fly, it's Riles. Asian Sensation, these three are WAY better than Dream, Clyde and Barkley were on the Rockets. Not even close. Depending on who the other players are, when this team decides to play lockdown defense late in games, it won't be fair having Wade and LeBron on the court at the same time. I don't accept this report as fact. Just commenting here as if it's true. LeBron choosing Miami doesn't add up for me.
