I understand most of fans want to move AB as quick as possible, me too. But AB for Nene is kind of robbery. We all know AB can single handedly score 20 pts every night. He's poor man AI. He's going to be a star in a team which deeply needs an instant offense talent like Cavs. Nene is nothing more than a role player like Cato also with knee problems.
I know AB is a goner but we better don't sell him cheap.

I like my first idea with us getting Randolph, Rubio and Nene but honestly I think I'd be fine with

Brooks + Jeffries + Their 2012 pick for Fields/Chandler + Mozgov + Randolph - This would help them in getting Melo with extra expiring and their pick back, It gives us a young Center with some upside, a boneheaded PF/SF , and a really good SF because I feel Fields can play the 3.

    Lowry/ Twill/ Ish
    Martin / Lee
Chandler or Fields / Battier / Bud
    Scola / PP/ Hill / Randolph
    Hayes/ Mozgov / Miller

Then maybe we use some of our extra pieces to acquire something else.

This would instantly make Bud and Hill moveable. Maybe even for future picks.

Brooks will not be a star. Not with D'Antoni, not with anyone.

    Guys,
reading the different articles that have come out on the AB situation on all these sports sites, and all the comments underneath, it's clear that AB is still very well thought of around the league. It seems as if he's had a big game against every team at least once. He's still got the fastest first step in the NBA and he's still capable of getting 20 points a game. Teams want him. If Morey plays his cards right, we should be able to find a way to get an impact player in return for him.

    What a great scenario.

Sell Brooks low for ****e from New York, while giving the Knicks coach exactly what his offense craves and ruining our 2011 Knicks pick.

    This is sounding really smart.

Feigan of the Houston Chronicle reported this morning that the Rockets have confirmed no interest in a trade that would send Brooks to New York. He said if he was to get delt it would be at the trade deadline and would be a part of a much bigger trade, but then again, everyone else could be traded as well in a deal of that magnitude.

-Sounds like either Morey is making a big splash for an impact player or not doing anything till the summer. Although smaller moves will likely be made to get the team under the lux tax.

-The Rockets front office and coaching staff know that down the stretch in the 4th quarter, Brooks is key to getting a shot off when nobody else in a Rockets uniform can even though he has struggled heavily this season. They know that in return for anything they could get for Brooks "right now" wont give them that kind of weapon.

-My opinion is that they have a better chance of resigning Brooks this offseason at a discount then they will of packaging players for a superstar this trade deadline.

-As of right now, Brooks is the best available option they have unfortunately.
