See ya later Brooks I know we don't need him, but Chandler fits the description of a Houston rocket. Or nene 3 team trade please
Actually you have to know how to pass to be a monster in his system. He'd be Nate Robinson or Leandro Barbosa in D'Antoni's system, a role that has been filled by guys like: Nate Robinson.
No, thanks on anything the Knicks could offer. Chandler: Will be a free agent this summer and will be looking for a fat paycheck after getting his bloated numbers in D'Antoni's system. Fields: A nice, smart player but no improvement over Courtney Lee. Randolph: Good upside, but a knucklehead who can't get minutes on a mediocre team. Plus, he plays a position where the Rockets already have plen of depth. Mozgov: Project center; not good value for a player like Brooks. Future first rounder: The earliest they can offer is in 2014. Let's just say, I'm not impressed.
If AB is going to be coming off the Bench that wont work for the Knicks; it seems AB needs to start to be effective.
Fields ain't going anywhere, but I'd take him over Lee straight up in a second and I think most GM's would too - he's got the Battier/Lowry/Hayes knack for magically making your plus/minus better when he's on the floor without having to score a lot or put up big numbers.
Absolutely on the money. The Knicks had their AB in Nate Robinson, and that turned out like... well, AB has in Houston. I don't see any reason why they would want to pay anything more than junk for Brooks.
Oh, please. The Rockets would not say that they are trying hard to get rid of Brooks. And the Knicks don't want to spend much on him but Morey is not going to give him away on the cheap. Brooks is not going anywhere. As mad as everyone has been at him, I think he could still turn it around.
Fields is the best rebounding guard in the league, as a rookie. He brings more to the team than Lee, and can play the 3 as well. More value than Budinger. I do, however, have to concede most other points. The Knicks interest in Brooks should, hopefully, be part of a 3-team deal of some sort involving a large bevy of players.
Exactly, saying this in public gets rid of any leverage the Rocket Front office would have in a potential deal. That isn't Morey's style. He is all about leverage.
Please trade brooks for anything... he is going to be useless on our team now as i think Smith will be played and developed into a much finer PG suited for our team. I think the reason coach kept playing AB so much when he was struggling was cause he was hoping that he could turn it around like Budinger has, however he has not and moped and will be stuck no the end of the rotation now.
The Knixies can want all they want but, as some accidentally hit upon, AB to NYK only works in a multi-team scenario (Nene). Interestingly, Wolves reportedly are interested in AB AND being in a multi-team scenario (Melo). Also, Kings reportedly are interested in AB and have cap room and incentives to involve themselves in multi-team scenaria. Philly supposedly wants to move pieces around and could be justified in multi-team scenaria. And the Nets. And the Bucks. Cleavesburg anyone? But, Melo is the domino upon whom all other dominoes are embedded in mud while waiting resolution of CA. WorldWideWes where are you?
Glad your not GM lol. You trade a guy if you can get something in return for him. No sense in making a bad trade that further hurts the team just to get rid of Brooks. He isn't that bad.
Even though we're stockpiled at the 4, you gotta get 'em when they're available, some Daryl Morey guy says... AB for AR, "the knucklehead trade," will at least give us a longer, taller knucklehead. Then: JHill and JJ out for picks or a defensive C?
I managed to come up with a trade scenario that supposedly allows each team to have less wins . By the way, A. Randolph's PER is beyond pathetic .
AB coming off the bench in that system with a team that will pay him? How many mpg did Barbosa get during the halcyon days in the desert? But, AB is not a Knixie in a Rocket-NYK deal. It'll get complicated when it gets sorted IMHO.
