I don't know how I missed your post the first time around, but it's the same for me (minus NR season 5). Add Seinfeld and that's 99% of my DVD rotation.

Here's another News Radio quickie. The funniest part is the last second. My gf isn't a huge fan, but she couldn't stop laughing after seeing this.

i don't know, NBC may have eventually killed it, but it was done the day hartman died. there was some good stuff with patrick warburton afterwards but not enough to keep it around.

I have to say, this is one of my all-time favorite shows, and I've posted "Super Karate death Car" in my sig and in videos countless times.

I almost cried the day Hartman died. A True, Obnoxious genius.

That said, I never found Tierney hot. Too skinny. I like girls with some curvage on them. Re: boobs.

But for those not in the know: Dave Foley was a comic genius, himself, and wrote a lot of Hartman's jack-assery.

For example, one of my favorite skits. If you don't know what "Dave" (the office manager) did prior to Newsradio, he was a writer/actor on "Kids in the hall." This might show you how demented he was. But Phil played the "evil character" part much better than Dave did.

dave foley is hilarious and Kids in the Hall is so underrated, imo, its really just sad. I know its got a big following, but it still never seemed like it was enough. I guess there just arent enough smart people to realize how great it really was :)

BTW, Fatty. Apologize for causing cancer. :D

Sorry for bumping the thread. I started watching Newsradio this weekend and I'm almost through season 3. I can't believe I never got into this...just shows how underrated it was/is. Phil Hartman is an absolute genius. I loved his SNL sketches and have always felt sad about his death, but seeing Bill McNeal on screen in such a perfect, amazing role makes it so hard now. :(

    What could have been.

Bill McNeal was the most adequate broadcaster ever. Especially his "The Real Deal with Bill McNeal."

We got what we wanted from Bill.

Then we snapped our legs shut like a well-oiled bear trap.

    Gazizzuh Bill, Gazizzuh.

    :(

I'm watching News Radio on my TV thanks to the Net Flix stream. Phil Hartman was such a great comedian. What a great show...

Bob Costas just flipped Joe Rogans ass, LMAO!

I've posted it on here before, Phil Hartman is one of the funniest actors to have ever lived.

It has since been removed but if you look around, you can find the video of his SNL audition from back in the 80s. Hilarious stuff.

As far as NewsRadio goes, the first 2 seasons are streaming for free on Netflix. If you haven't watched it, please do. One of the most underrated shows in TV history.
