Maybe he'd just rather be known as a psychotic killer than a terrible surgeon

This is as bad as the guy in Detroit diagnosing patients with cancer so he could get money from the drug companies.

Healthy people were getting chemo for no reason.

I'm sure it's happened many times before, many times where it's not been caught.

Many of those guys are egomaniacs and literally have people's lives in their hands.

Guys like this are the reason I begrudgingly still believe in the death penalty. Sometimes, life without parole just ain't enough.

No matter the crime, I will still say that is the easy way out. Short term punishment in this life.

While I understand that they are the cream of the crop in regards to the medical field, I haven't met a single neurosurgeon that I actually liked on a personal level. Out of the probably 30 or 40 I've met in my lifetime, every single one of them came off like an egotistical, arrogant, pompous ass who looked down on every other person in society. I'm sure there are plenty of really great, down-to-Earth neurosurgeons out there.....I just have yet to meet one personally.

You wont find many of the down to earth surgeon types. They are definitely out there, but the majority of surgeons (not just neuro) are assholes. In many ways, they've had to become that way to get to where they are in their profession. It's not really their fault, it's just the way it goes with the rigors of training, studying, learning, dealing with crappy patients, and going through all the different residencies and fellowships to become a surgeon.
