[NEWS] Explosions near Boston Marathon Finish Line (UPDATE: MIT/Watertown shootout w/ suspects)

-They shot the cop in cold blood at MIT

-hijacked a car/truck and fled

-police chase ensues, they're shooting and throwing bombs out the car

-they eventually stop, shoot it out with police, older brother runs at police and throws cooker bomb, which actually opens up and just turns into a missile which embeds itself on to a patrol car. Older brother shot dead. Younger brother gets in car, drives over older brother to break police barricade and gets away.

-At some point he bailed out of that car and disappeared into the neighborhood.

-cops block off 20 block area and have been going home to home. Found nothing

 

Ridiculous that this guy is till not caught. 19 year old vs 100+ armed officers and SWAT teams.

Somewhere out there, some lunatic is getting inspired and belief that he too can get away if they were to commit a crime.

 

I'm hoping the b*stard is somewhere dead and they simply haven't found him yet. That he could have escaped unscathed is hard to believe.

 

He has to be getting help.

 

this has got to be one of the craziest things. How can a teenager stay undetected so long?

 

Not really. Climb a tree and stay up there for a day or two. Nothing too complicated.

I've been reasonably impressed with him. seems level headed, not overly dramatic. very solid.

 

in the presser they clarified the 7-11 incident. there was a robbery, the brothers were there around the same time, but it was coincidental. they were seen on the surveillance tapes.

 

I'm starting to suspect he was shot a few times during that firestorm of bullets and is curled up dead in some tiny hiding spot.

 

The trained police dogs could find the guy in one hour if he stays outside.

makes me think that if either of these two guys had any getaway plans they could have easily left the Boston area. Bombing occurred Monday afternoon and their photos weren't made public until yesterday. Could have changed their appearances too (shave heads or cut their hair) got into a car and taken off. Scary to think about...

 

if he was shot, and left the car on foot, i assume there'd be a blood trail.

 

He must have jacked another car.

 

What an insane twist all of this is. What a story.

I hope they catch him alive. Seems like the older brother pulled his younger brother into his mad scheme. If they catch him alive they can at least learn how they planned and if there are any other accomplices.
