Haha, I don't blame you. I'd feel the same way if someone said something about my cats.

Guys this isn't a Cats VS Dogs thread so don't turn it into one. Blame the owners not the Dog.

I've always liked cats for their independent nature. They wont bow to being put on leashes and walked about; or roll over on command like dogs. Some people just can't appreciate (hate) that.

It was a difficult choice, but a choice I would do 1000 times over! You're right it just takes that one bad moment and your family's life has changed forever!

I'm glad to hear he's doing better! You know as well as I do that it could of been a lot worse!

LOL... I guarantee you that once I got a hold of him he wouldn't be called a big violent dog anymore!

Well if we're getting down to the skill set, how about that textbook hit on the dog? Dog had what, 50 pounds on him? Knocked him clean off the boy!

Dogs and wolves will hunt in packs or make opportunity kills where they have a heavy advantage. The big cats often hunt alone and take down animals bigger than they are. By weight, the cat is the more impressive hunter. A 10-pound cat versus a 10-pound dog -- I know where I'm putting my money.

A big violent dog is likewise at a big disadvantage to a guy with a gun.

Not entirely true. One of my kittens rolls over whenever I come near her. And I've seen more and more people walking their cats on leashes... I'm not one, just saying it happens.

When I was a kid we had a bad-ass tomcat that loved to fight -- my mom was playing with the neighbors' German Shepard -- cat thought dog was attacking and went after the him. Cat latched on dog's head and kicked him in the face with his back feet -- it wasn't pretty and dog ran away with a sliced up snout/ nose.

I'm convinced a big male tomcat could kill a person if he wanted.

My condolences Moe. I truly feel sorry for the fact that you'll never enjoy the company of such an amazing and loyal animal.

    spoken like a true lil-b**ch.

    Why can't people like both?

Also, why does every cat/dog post turn into: "I hate dog!" or "I hate cat!" Ahhh, the internet.

You don't want a bobcat those things are nuts -- a friend of a friend had one and it ended mauling two kids. Playing with it was scary -- it would grab a toy like a tennis ball and chase you down roaring trying to trip and bite you.
