Does anyone on here actually know about this stuff? I've read some stuff about this not changing signs because what changed was the "view" the earth had, but the earth didnt change position.
thats completly r****ded you cant out of no where change everyones sign. im a pisces my personality does not fit the aquarius profile.. because im not an aquarius i think this is idiotic.. you dont wake up one day and say hey im gonna change your sign. thats like changing the the name of jupitor to mars or calling the sun the moon and the moon the sun. what so automaticly when i turn 21 im all the sudden an aqarius.? does my race change also? cuz let me know if so. if this change really happens i will not go along with it. i will continue reading my signs horescope which is pisces. whoever came up with this ineed to climb the highest cliff and then jump off when they reach the top. I'm ready for my change from Cancer to Gemini. I was wondering why i've been feeling so weird lately -- apparently we're in the transition phase.
Ok I have no formal education in this area, but from what i've gathered: Nothing is new. It's been known for a LONG time that the zodiacs shift...basically it comes down to astronomy vs astrology. Astronomy has taken the change into consideration, but it's not associated with the relationship to your personality, it's more scientific. Astrology does associate your birthdate with your personality, but it's basically ignored the movement of the earth. So technically your zodiac sign traits didnt change because it falls under Astrology and Astrology never has bothered to change it before, although it's been known for thousands of years, so why would it now? It's fixed. Technically you can look up where the earth was on your birthdate and determine which sign you are, but i guess that makes little sense, since that's a scientific look at it and Astrology doesn't look it that way.
Not surprising because you are completely wrong -- everything is changing -- consequences will never be the same.
There are two types of Astrology, Sidereal and Tropical. Sidereal is based on the Earth's position in the galaxy vs. Tropical which is based on the Earth's position in the solar system. Tropical astrology is the type most used for charts, newspaper articles, character analysis and such. Unless Earth decides to jump its orbit, people's interpretation of Astrological charts is not going to change. And as far as interpreting someone's "horoscope", do not go by sun sign alone!! Everyone's chart is made up of 12 houses, 10 planets and their aspects to one another. The most important of these is your sun/earth sign, moon sign and ascendant/rising sign ( the zodiacal sign and degree that was ascending on the eastern horizon at the time of birth). I have a Leo sun, venus and midheaven, Sagittarius moon and Libra ascendant. If you were to go just by the sign interpretation it would probably say something along the lines of warm, sociable, outgoing, and harmonious. But I am nothing like that. I am brooding, cold, distant, aloof, shy and it takes me a while to warm up to people and even longer if never to trust anyone outside my family. There are some in my family I don't trust either. Why? Most of my first house of identity is in Scorpio. And I have the most uneasy T-square (difficult aspect) involving moon, neptune, saturn and mercury. So there is a lot of tension (t-square) with my emotions (moon), my thoughts (mercury) and saturn (distance,hardship). So don't go by sun sign alone. Get your birth certificate with time of birth and you can "read" your chart online at various websites that offer free charts.
