You guys are all mistaken. Coulter has not made racist/bigoted/hateful/ignorant/disrespectful/intolerant remarks only ONCE before, she has a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG and well-documented reputation of making these remarks almost everytime she is allowed near a mic (on TV or radio). I would be REALLLY careful about aligning myself with her or even attempting to defend her; kudos to basso on that front. She makes Pat Robertson and Limbaugh look like moderates! If you don't know her as well as you should (or if you post articles written by her), then it's your fault for not considering the source/person before lending any credibility to her. Google Ann Coulter and 'racist' or any other word like that and you willc ome up with more info than you can handle, including multiple video clips (so her supporters can't claim that it's "out of context") when you search 'ann coulter' under Yahoo Video search function. In the meantime, you should start by reading her book "How to talk to a Liberal (If you must)", where she reiterates some of the controversial comments she made in the past. The thing about Coulter is that she doesn't even make an attempt to deny that she said what she said, and she uses that 'craziness' and unpredictability to market herself rather well to the extreme right in this country. She is usually a frequent host on "Hannity and Colmes" on where else but FNC. In the meantime, enjoy some of Ann's "greatest hits": --Right-wing pundit Ann Coulter called the Democratic Party "a party that supports killing, lying, adultery, thievery, envy." --Two days after the September 11, 2001, terror attacks, Coulter wrote about Muslims: "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." She was fired from the right-wing National Review Online in late 2001 for this comment. Since then, she has not changed her position: In her new book, How to Talk to a Liberal, she wrote: "I am often asked if I still think we should invade their [Muslim] countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity. The answer is: Now more than ever!" --On an uptick in President George W. Bush's standing among women polled "I'm so pleased with my gender. We're not that bright." --On a John Kerry presidency: "I will grant that John Kerry will improve the economy in the emergency services and body bag industry." --On Al Qaeda's terror attacks: "I'm not blaming the Democrats for 9-11 alone. I'm blaming them also for the Cole bombing, for the embassy bombings, for 20 years of attacks that have not been stopped." --On opposition to Bush: [CENTER]ALAN COLMES (FOX News Channel Hannity & Colmes co-host): Are all the American people that don't support him [President George W. Bush] dumb? COULTER: No. I think, as I indicated in my last book, they're traitors.[/CENTER] --On racial profiling and air travel: Like many of you, I carefully reviewed the lawsuits against the airlines in order to determine which airlines had engaged in the most egregious discrimination, so I could fly only that airline. But oddly, rather than bragging about the charges, the airlines heatedly denied discriminating against Middle Eastern passengers. What a wasted marketing opportunity! Imagine the great slogans the airlines could use: "Now Frisking All Arabs -- Twice!" "More Civil-Rights Lawsuits Brought by Arabs Than Any Other Airline!" "The Friendly Skies -- Unless You're an Arab" "You Are Now Free to Move About the Cabin -- Not So Fast, Mohammed!" If John Kerry would promise to fire Norman Mineta and start racial profiling at the airports, I would campaign for him. Unfortunately, like George Bush, Kerry doesn't travel commercial air with the little people. --On former Senator Max Cleland (D-GA): "Luckily for Cleland's political career and current pomposity about Bush, he happened to do it [lose an arm and both legs] while in Vietnam." --On Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh: "My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building." Want to see the actual videos to judge for yourselves? Do a little search on Yahoo Videos and you will find more than you can handle... There is a reason why this woman has been repeatedly fired from almost every place that ever hired her, including conservative publications. The fact that FNC keeps giving her ample time on TV to spread her hateful rhetoric speaks loudly about their credibility.
Nice quotes, tigermission. She sounds like a more honest version of the BBS's own basso and Jorge brothers.
Show me where I supported Ann Coulter. I merely asked FB to back up his declaration that she was racist. I took no position myself. You liberals love to assume and jump to conclusions. Liberal pile-on also noted.
Your silence on the subject speaks volumes as it is. At least basso distanced himself somewhat from the idiot, though his taste in women comes into question as much as his misleading thread titles. You Neocons sure do love to talk tough and loose with the facts. Typical.
Why would anybody bother wasting their time reading thru Ann Coulter's poisonous body of work to provide you, of all people, a meaningless quote. What little credibility you had before, in my eyes, is certainly shot now. bwaaa hahahhaha. ...[snicker] show you how Coulter is a racist. [/snicker] What a waste of time.
The claim New Yorkers would surrender immediately is racist. It is only based on who the New Yorkers are, not their actions. You asked for proof, when this here thread is proof. That would be like you going into a 9/11 discussion about someone saying Osama wants to murder Americans and you ask for them to back it up. It's not too late to realize your error.
do i really need to?? i have no preconceptions here, based on this thread alone, it looks like there has been some history regarding triple tex and liberals
that is a lie. no where in the article does it say she is not hot. you sir, are a lying liar spreading vicious lies about ann coulter's lack of pulchritude. she is totally hot, and yes, i'm objectifying her, in a subjective sort of way...
I merely ask a question and you all assume and jump to conclusions. I'm glad I have you guys around to tell me what I think. You are absolutely comical!
so, texxx, is Coulter a racist based on remarks about arabs?? i dont know you, and i am not trying anything but to get an answer...
got some more Coulter quotes for ya... (talking about Halle Berry's Oscar for "Best Actress" in Monster's Ball) "Berry said her triumph was a victory 'for every nameless, faceless woman of color who now has a chance because this door tonight has been opened.' Yes, at long last, the 'glass ceiling' had been broken. Large-breasted, slightly cocoa women with idealized Caucasian features finally have a chance in Hollywood! They will, however, still be required to display their large breasts for the camera and to discuss their large breasts at some length with reporters." -- Ann Coulter's "I like black people too, Julia!" 4/1/02 (Again, talking about the 2002 Academy Awards) "Whenever white liberals are in trouble, they always run to the blacks. Immediately after the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke, Monica went to a Washington Wizards game where she hoisted some poor unsuspecting black girl onto her lap in full view of the cameras. Bill Clinton dropped the subtlety and dashed off to Africa. After his abomination of a presidency, Jimmy Carter built housing in Harlem. Apparently, Oscars night was Hollywood's shot at patronizing blacks to generate goodwill -- perhaps as wartime penance for its long-standing hatred of America." "Ethnic profiling is the only reasonable security measure that has been thwarted in the war on terrorism." 'Magaw's other airline safety improvement was to reject the idea of a "trusted traveler" program, which would allow passengers to avoid three-hour airport security lines after submitting to an intrusive background check by the government. As reported by The New York Times, Magaw spurned the trusted traveler idea on the ground that "he is not sure who could safely be given the card." I don't know, how about ... NO ARABS?'
You haven't been around here much, 110th. Let me get you up to speed. texxx doesn't answer questions. That's not how it works. Like for example, texxx might post something like: "Answer the question. Thanks in advance. Your credibility is on the line." Then someone answers the question and texxx disappears. Later someone might post asking texxx to answer a question and he might post something like: "Nice liberal pile on." It's a neat system, see. Because we get to answer all texxx's questions in order that we not lose our hallowed BBS credibility and then he gets to run away. basso and Jorge do it too. It's a little thing we've grown pretty attached to here in the D&D.
