You do know Steve has a max contract, do you? How do you get him on the cheap?

Francis I think hasn't improved much in his seven years in the NBA. He is still too selfish and makes fairly bad decisions...these are qualities that you do not want from a PG. Especially when we have two superstars. Say no to Francis.

I remember when people including myself thought it was unfair that brand won rookie of the year with steve. And i remember there was a time when i thought francis would one day be an mvp in this league. I think steve has a lot of good years in him. I think he has been humbled by the last couple of years and he just needs to get into a good situation and he can thrive. New York is not a good situation....

Actually, from watching a couple Knicks games this season, Francis is a completely different player. He doesn't dribble the ball as much, he does more cutting/slashing and setting up other teammates. He seems more team oriented this season and I like it. He is a 2-Guard for them and so far has done a fine job.

Even though I do agree with you, don't draw your conclusion yet :)

I still appreciate his talent and ability and his love for Houston and, outside of some boneheaded tendencies, loved the way he gave himself wholeheartedly to the Rockets and provided for us a lot of excitement. Because of that, I will always cheer loudly for him when he returns and will continue to hope for Steve Francis to have a positive break through in resurrecting his career. I think any true Rocket fan should feel the same way...After all, we all have had our stumbles to recover from in the process of growing and developing...

I wouldn't want francis back if he was given back to us for free.

I appreciate Francis for playing hard for the Rockets, and caring about the team. He worked really hard to make Yao Ming feel at home, and help him. He gave maximum effort on the floor, and that is appreciated.

Sadly he wasn't able to reconcile that passion into what he needed to do meld with the team, and the his knowledge of the game. It wasn't the right fit for the Rockets because despite his talent, he wasn't able to see the larger picture of what needed to be done. Thus he never made the necessary adjustments.

That doesn't mean his heart wasn't in the right place, or that his talent wasn't any less. It just wasn't right for the Rockets.

I can't help having a soft spot for Francis. On Fox Sports they showed immediately at the final buzzer Yao and Francis (in a suit) look for each other and have a little discussion before heading to the respective locker rooms.

I am one of Stevie's biggest fans and supported him even though most of H-town turned on him and blamed him for every single thing that went wrong (whether it was his fault or not); I loved his passion, energy and love he showed for Houston. That being said, when you have the chance to get a player of T-Mac's caliber, you have to go for it. Hope Steve can end up on a playoff team and help them (preferrably in the east).

If the knicks throw in a 1st rounder and Channing Frye we'll take Francis off their hands for Juwan Howard!!!! But only if he agreed to be the 6th man off the bench, he can shoot as much as he wants when he's in the game.
