    Even if he filed bankruptcy, the court would still expect him to sell off some if not all of properties to satisfy the liabilities against him. I don't think it's a magic bullet for him in this case.

    There is a nonzero chance that if Trump sold all of his assets he would be short of the money needed to pay for his fraud charges.

    I am sure even the most rabid trump haters would have been fine with a $50M fine, making the victims whole, kicking trump out of NY, and giving Ms James an achievement award.

    Is this the biggest proposed individual fine in American history?

    You need to get off Trump's dick, we saw the way he treated everyone involved with the case thinking he's above the law once again just to get smacked down. He deserves every bit of this and a private prison on a diet of bread and sweetwater until the day he's buried.

    Michael Milken was fined $600M I believe. But wasn't the fraud charged against the trump organization? Lots of companies have been fined in the billions.

    I doubt trump ever pays a fraction of this fine, so it doesn't matter if it was $80M. He actually should be cooling his heels in jail IMO.
