I get your point, but I'd take Kyrie Iriving's future over Favors'.

xiki, do you have a link to where you got that from?

Seems like a fair and realistic deal. I like Martin but I'd be much happier moving on and rebuilding.

You want to rebuild and move on???
So would rather move Martin age 29 than scola who is in hi 30's already

Martin would free up more cap room and would likely have a higher return.

Scola is 30 but is still in as perfect shape as possible and has not missed a single game.

I think we need to focus on freeing up cap space, developing Patterson and our lottery pick this summer and focusing on 2012 and Dwight Howard. That involves keeping Courtney Lee (who is his best friend).

    Brooks / Lowry
    Lee / player x
    Williams / Budinger
    Scola / Patterson
    Favors / Hayes

That is a line-up I would like for now and the future, Favors has the potential to be Dwight Howard good if he pans out. I don't see why New Jersey wants to give up on him and win but I guess a move to Brooklyn would do that.

I'd do that trade too, but I think the Nets want a legit scorer at the 2. Plus, it's my understanding that Scola's contract is going to be tougher to trade because of it's BYC status. Also, Scola has been MUCH more durable than Martin and I'd really like to sell high on Martin before he gets hurt again.

Sure, accepting the supposedlies. Then Favors becomes a prime chip for Nene or other. Cousins?

@STEIN_LINE_HQ DAL and POR only serious suitors in mix for Nets' Harris at present. Told there's more to settle w/POR than just Andre Miller for Harris

Seen that far too many teams here where a poster says he has inside information, etc...

I'm not buying it, though I wish it were true.

@STEIN_LINE_HQ Sources say Mavs have already rejected Nets' request for Dom Jones and a first-rounder in addition to Caron Butler. Butler is their offer

Agreed. it's one thing to post a rumor, but don't make stuff up and then portray it as if it's a rumor.

(Supposedly) Nets want Martin + Hill (more supposedly - lust for things 'Knick') for Favors + Murphy + #1. Rox #1 returned, perhaps...

Sure, it was written a few weeks back that Nets wanted Martin. There's nothing in my post that claimed anything other than putting the stuff that has been said by others who get paid to write their crap as one possible answer to Deckard as how to get Favors. I made no claims.

Where do you get your umbrage?
