I love practicing Chinese calligraphy, it is an art. Properly and nicely written chinese characters is an art itself. i don't think you can do that with other writing systems....maybe except arabic? =) I've always thought Chinese words are the coolest and aesthetically appealing writing system in the world( except for newspaper and squared boxed chinese, yuck, that's a shame!). That's why ppl in china seriously practice writing them with a passion. I don't know why Japanese call those characters as their own?!?! those are chinese words and they jacked them and incorporated them into their language. it pisses me off a japanese points to me those characters and say those are japanese and say i'm wrong that those are chinese characters learn some history. GET YOUR OWN WRITING SYSTEM!
