I'm defending it because the so called "legit criticisms" can be debated and in ways it does not hold up very well when you put other things into perspective. But here, let me go ahead and make some groundbreaking comments in this thread and actually tell you what I agree with from the PlayStation army. I Agree, the Kinect camera having to stay plugged in at all times thou it can be turned off is a turn off. I Agree that using buttons to turn on the console would be better instead of voice. I Agree that Xbox One is not no where near perfect. But I strongly disagree when people say this console will do poorly and that it will suck and take away "gamers rights".... Once again, I respect Xbox for standing up to all of these self entitled people that have been doing the same thing for over 30 years and now want to make it law. In my opinion, screw gamestop and how badly they screw people over by buying dirt cheap and selling high.... But then again, game value has nothing to do with the biggest issue people have on Xbox.... I cant borrow or let friends borrow games no more, tear tear.....
As i said you can be the one who bends over backwards and buys the Xbone. My money is better spent somewhere else. And if the PS4 takes the same route sony can go eat a dick too. I grew up in the days of the NES and gaming has always been a hobby of mine. But these so called "innovations" of yours are no more then glorified ploys to extract more money from the consumer. You can throw your money away, I wont. And besides a company that employs a pay wall to access ****ing netflix shouldn't be labeled as an innovator. You just come across as a butthurt Xbox fanboy laughing at all of us plebian consumers. Get off your high horse man.
Playstation army...I don't own a PS4 btw, only a 360. I'm not loyal to any company or product. This is not a PS4 vs XB1 thing for me, this is a "I'm not getting that ****." thing. The truth is, they ARE taking away gamer rights by saying that the person who buys the game doesn't own it and is instead licensing it. This has been going on a while with PC gamers and DRM. PC gamers hate it for good reason. This isn't a PS4 thing, if Sony does the same thing then I can spend that money on a great video card for the next gen and be happy. I love games but I don't have to play every single game from every single console.
And I stand there with you... I own an original Xbox 360 elite, I bought it when it was the top Xbox you could get your hands on. It was a nice memory and I did have a pretty good time with it thanks to Bioshock. With that said, If I buy an Xbox One its just for my own damn tradition sakes even if I purchase very few games.... I have nothing against PS, therefor you don't see me attacking it. If PS releases something that truly gets my attention then they can have my money as well. Assuming the new Half Life is only on PS4, that's pretty much means I will be a proud owner of a PS4.... As I mentioned before, I have a pretty high end PC I use for production so I can pretty much run any game out there. Last game I played was BioShock Infinite on pc Max settings and I was able to play it using my studio interface and monitors and wow nothing (console) can beat that experience. I don't have a lot of time for too many games but I try to play the ones that really stand out like Skyrim, Infinite, NBA 2kw/e..... I do look forward to gaming on the Xbox One thou. They would have to do something extremely stupid for me to not get one but hey its possible. Lets at least wait till E3 this Monday before we write off The ONE as failure and slap to the face of the consumer.....
I am with this poster. Although I'm not a gamer, skimming the various complaints about this console (and maybe even the PS4) tells me I'm getting old. I still play games from 8 years ago like Shadow of the Colossus. I bought it for $5 used. I prefer the uncluttered, simple experience of playing on consoles like the SNES and PlayStation. I probably will make my own high-end desktop and become a PC gamer eventually. With an XBOX controller plugged into USB, it feels like playing a console. I like the ability to upgrade, not have everything DRM, and backwards compatibility.
No one is caring about cameras on everything, people do care that camera is taking a pictures without you asking it to BY DESIGN.
