I am still holding my doubts over McG, but everything has looked good so far, so I can't say until I see it, but I think he may have pulled it off.
Explosions - check Slow Motion - check Screaming - check Trailers like this never fail, looks like it'd be a good movie.
Dayum. This trailer got me thinking about the Terminator series in general, and how solid it is. I mean, Terminator is a classic. Terminator 2 is awesome, and when it came out I'm sure it blew plenty of people away. T3 was pretty damn entertaining too. This trailer impressed me a lot
I think its pretty funny that Bale demanded that the screenplay be good enough to be read on stage without any special effects before agreeing to sign on as John Conner. Jonathan Nolan rewrote most of it I heard, so It might be decent.
"I am human," says the cyborg. Bladerunner, plus nuclear explosions? This looks good. Even the tv show is outperforming expectations.
Terminator 2 has always been one of my favorite movies. I want so badly for Salvation to resurrect the series, and from the looks of the trailer, it just might. If nothing else, Bale has rocked in everything he's done lately (and seemingly ever done), and I don't expect this one to be any different.
I was hoping for the low-tech rubber skinned terminators ...and a Franco Columbu look-a-like. As for the giant terminator. One of the producers must've watched Transformers
I'm still having a hard time with a Terminator movie that doesn't have THE Terminator in it (at least he's got a cameo). Looks like a good movie though.
The trailer is about as perfect as you can get. The only negative would probably be the giant Terminator, as someone commented on. Not that in the world of the Terminator series that a giant robot is somethinn you wouldn't expect to see, but it felt a little Transformer'ish. But that aside, awesome awesome trailer. And Bale sounds like he can be a real douche, but if that's how you have to be to really make the character work, as it seems to in this trailer, than so be it.
Nine Inch Nails makes movie trailers so much better! "Just like you Imagined" was in the 300 trailer and that was epic...and now "The Day the Whole World Went Away" in this movie and this is epic! Not to mention at the beginning of Man on Fire it plays "The Mark has been Made" and also in Wanted they play "Everyday is Exactly the Same" PURE WiN!
