Nah. Nothing Zuck related, even if it has adopted ActivityPub. Will be interesting to see what happens to the fediverse when it becomes federated though. Lemmy (Thunder), kbin (Artemis soon), and Mastodon (Megalodon) with their 3rd party apps are driving me to their platforms. Whatever I miss there, I pick up via RSS.
Well that was quick, Threads is basically dead already. Daily Active Users dropped from a peak of 45 million when it launched on July 6 to 28 million on July 13...down by 38% in just one week. Even worse time spent per user has tanked from 20 mins on July 7 to around 5 mins by July 11, even those few who are still holding out hope with Threads almost never use it. Time to call it.
They launched without any sort of platform-defining features, just rando stream of bullshit, which you can get on any platform.
