ah... the joys of TIVO ! I just start recording the games and begin watching about 30 mins later... when I see Coops smiling face, I know its time to Fast Forward !!!
Remember when Tim said that the halftime show's goal was to rival that of TNT or the other major channels? This is a step away from that goal. Cynthia Cooper is terrible, there are no two ways about it.
I would rather eat ground glass than... Vote for Bush... Live on Galveston Island... Watch Coop's halftime show... I actually believe that we would have a better halftime show if we had a contest on the site before every game and allowed one of our posters to sit opposite of Hagedorn. Coop can hoop on my team any time, but PLEASE get her away from the microphone.
What really troubles me about this is that she really didn't seem to *improve* at all as the season progressed. She started out as unprofessional, clumsy, and inarticulate and she ended up as..... unprofessional, clumsy, and inarticulate. What opinion vacuum was this decision made in?

She must be sucking in more ways than one last year. I did some detective work: 1. First compare the size of Lisa Malosky's mouth to Coop's and notice Coop's mouth is so much bigger. 2. The marketing slogan changed to simply, "Be Big". 3. Lisa got fired and Les hired Coop. Hmmmmm.... It's pretty obvious if you ask me. I bet we change our slogan next year to "Two inches off the ground".
What is amazing is that the board seems to be united on the Cooper question. Is this an historic first?
yes...yes it is. mark the calendar... re: halftime show vs TNT. even if we have toi deal with Coop...at least the Rockets halftime show talks about the game that it is showing....more than I can say for TNT. the few times I have seen TNT's halftime...there was next to ZERO talk about the Rockets during the halftime show. The last time in particular during the season...it was ALL KARLA "undercut' Malone...not word one about the current game that was on.
There I sit- All broken hearted, Cooper stinks- Like someone farted! When on my screen- I see Ms. Cooper, I know break time is nigh- Off to the pooper! Now she's gone- The game continues, I hope Coop finds employment- In other venues. But alas! I see this thread, "Gasp!" Another turd filled halftime show... A big nasty SPLASH!
