    Loogie,

Thanks for the rumor/update. No flame intended but...the more you try and defend this deal the worse it sounds. It makes you sound like so many posters on this board trying to package Cato, Williams and K. Thomas for a superstar player.

Yes there is some value (not much really) coming back to Houston but why not save the cap space (very valuable) and just renounce Hakeem. I see what you are saying about Montross being a servicable player and relatively cheap as far a salaries go. I have no idea about Skinner, he may be servicable. I think the Rockets would be more interested in no players, a low first round pick, and the 5.1 million exception than a couple shmucks and a 700k exception. If this is what CD wants, fine I trust him but I really doubt that it is what he desires. I for one would be disappointed.

Again, no flame intended but you seem to be trying WAY to hard to convince us this is a good deal. BTW, welcome to the board.

Like I said, I was under the assumption that it was a first rounder and the cap space.

What I am trying to do is if this does indeed turn out to be the deal, I'm just trying to let everyone see some good points on it. I happen to think its a flat our raping on Toronto's part.

No way CD is dumb enough to do this deal. Skinner possibly, but he is NOT going to take on Montross's contract.

    Montross sucks!
Please tell me we can do better than that. I'ts bad enough that Dream has screwed us with his procrastination but let's not compound this mess by taking scrubs in return.
Even Mamadou N'diaye would be better than getting Montross. As far as Skinner goes what does it say about you when you get traded by the Clippers?

i kinda like it. partly because i wouldn't have to wait for something to happen anymore.
and at least hakeem goes to a team with a good chance to reach the finals.

I'm not suggesting Dream should bring a superstar in return but that is CRAP pure and simple. Just let Dream walk if he wants to go and that's what kind of junk other teams are offering. The Rockets don't owe him a sign and trade for more money any more than he owes them one to get something in return.

Didn't get to read all the responses on this thread yet so sorry if I'm parroting someone.

You're fine Looogie... thanks for passing this along.

Looogie posted the NY Post article in the wee hours of the morning -- scooped it (on the front page of the site). He's no troll making this up -- he only posted what he saw on the ESPN boards.
