New Rockets Uniform Thread

I know I am probably not the first to ask this, but is there any insider that could get these to Rockets HQ somehow?? I've been dying for a change in the unis..

 

Especially the Project 34 designs!!

 

I'm not a design expert, although I wasn't a fan of the cartoon dildo and I'm not keen on the current heron/crane with a fish in its beak, but I do know that in the Hispanic culture yellow is the color of good fortune and happiness. Red, on the other hand, is the color of passion, although that is generally true in all cultures. A 50-50 blend of our two colors would be fortuitous ... just think, we'd at least be lucky in love. I think the fans would love our luck on and off the court.

 

we can only hope for a new brand and identity if...no..when we get Dwight. Lets hope Les's taste in uniforms has improved. Hopefully since Murray browses cf, moaray will see something he likes and pass it on to Les.

 

Be aware that it is primarily gays who care about this stuff.

 

Everyone who plays cares. If you don't think players care how they look in their uniform for marketing purposes and just feeling good, then you need to hang out with more black people.

I do think the Rockets took on a Chinese 'look' for Yao. Don't know who the flying dildo was supposed to appeal to, youth?

 

If we do get Howard it would be the perfect time to introduce new uni's. With him being one of the big faces of Adidas basketball our possible new uni's would get a whole lot of print and tv ad time. Adidas is the maker of the NBA's uni's, so they would have him in many different ads rocking the new uni. Adding Lin, Asik, and Harden was a new era for Rockets basketball, but adding Howard is more than icing on the cake. Les is a smart business man and with fan outcry and a new cast of stars, he almost surely will make the call for new uni's for the 2014 season. Another great sign for new uni's is just how much the new team latched onto the alternate uni. It was worn way more than previous years, and it was used at the All Star announcement and even during All Star weekend in the events other than the big game. You dont have to be a genius to see they are not fans of the wide shoulder jerseys. The seeds have been planted, now its just time to follow through. The easy transition is the post two above me with the alternate uni look just with hour road/away colorways.

 

bmd, can we forward your designs to the Rockets org?

Perfect blend of ketchup, mustard, and mayo.

 

I think it's the combination of a big name which Les has shown to go for and that the designer was asian. Whatever the case Les would've shelled out major bucks for that commision and for the prestige.

It's funny how we have all these high school wannabe graphic designers keep hating on the current design. Yet it's loved by actual graphic designers because it's Eiko Ishioka's work.

They might be loved by graphic designers, but the people, you know, who watch basketball, hate them. Every other forum has them at #29 or #30 in the league. The only people around basketball that might have some sympathy for them is our fans, but I'm glad to see that most of us hate them too. They're terrible.

 

Um, I'm a Production Manager/Graphic Designer for a local magazine.... I hate them too.
