From what Ive seen, YES those are the all star jerseys for the LA All Star Game 2004. I copped a Francis youth swingman at lunch today. Looks nothing like the pic from eastbay. It is the good quality that we have come to expect from Nike. They only had replicas in Adults though.
Psst ... don't tell anyone (heh), but we got some authentics delivered yesterday. A limited supply will be in the team store for tomorrow's game, with more inventory to follow shortly. We'll also have the ability to customize a jersey in the store, although it may take us another game or two to have the machine set up. (Just got that in, too.) Tim, authentics jerseys doesn't sell untill you cut down the price, normal fan won't spend 140 bucks on a piece of fabric, and rich white-collars doesn't wear jersey to work, so lower the price for students, which are your primary customers.
Oh come on man, why should the Rockets lower the price of the authentics? I doubt they even have anything to do with the pricing of the jerseys, as I've always seen the prices of jerseys by all teams as the same price. Complain to David Stern...
They are expensive. But they're expensive to make. And they sell very well. If it's too pricey ... that's perfectly understandable, and that's completely your call. That's why the other versions of the jersey are out there. Tim
I wasn't able to make it by the shop tonight to verify, but I had been told that the authentic shorts were in as well. No word on swingman shorts -- as far as I know, we're not planning on carrying them. Shorts typically are very poor sellers in team stores. Tim
Tim, That is too bad that the shorts are bad sellers. I hope that fact is just limited to team store and not the foot lockers, champs, and finish lines of the world. Nike does make an XL youth..I saw a Chris Webber Kings Home jersey that was XL length 2x and I tried on a Suns stoadimre XL youth and it fit me great..... it pays to be short.
