I wish we had gotten Iverson instead of Detroit. At the very least he has testicles and is a warrior, which is far more than what can be said of T-mac. Sigh...
For those of us who don't drink, here is the real issue: the "build around TMac and Yao plan" touted by our owner and GM is failing. Yes Yao and TMac will get better, they can't get worse. Yes it is early. Blah. Blah Blah. I know all that, BUT I also know this: Yao and TMac are too injury prone, too mentally flawed, too passive, too lacking in leadership skills, too almost everything to build a team around. In many ways the bottomline is that their bodies are failing them. Call it premature injuries, premature aging, whatever. They simply can't compete at the ridiculously high level required in the NBA. If they wanted to, they can't. I saw this last year. Actually, it began to surface two seasons again, maybe earlier. The team has a good deal of talent, but it must be reconfigured and quickly. Another piece or two wouldn't hurt. The TMac/Yao era has passed, much like the Francis era, the Rockets just don't seem to know it.
Explode? Alcohol poisoning much? You'd be .44BAC after the middle of the 2nd quarter! Someone will have to pour the drinks in your unconscious mouth.
I'm going to have to buy some more alcohol. By the end of the season, we'll all be ready for Beer Fest.
