That would be great. I would like a combo of Aaron and Sessions together more than Landry and Scola if we traded Landry to get Sessions. The fast breaking would be rediculous and both could fill it up real quick when in the game. At 6,3 we might even be able to play Sessions along side Aaron at times.

Yeah I am very curious to see what the Rockets are going to do, obviously they are not done.

I read several posts in this thread that keep saying:

"signing pops means someone is gone"

How exactly do you all come to this conclusion? Pops has proven nothing more than to be just a third stringer. Are we already making conclusions like the year we drafted Joey Dorsey>?

I doubt the signing of a guy who played 300 something minutes for his career signals anything other than the Rockets are giing him a look. PMB signing means the end of Landry as much as Loren Woods signing meant the end of Mutombo. I hope he does well, but highly doubt the Rockets are relying on his signing to make moves.

It's not like they are going "Man, I would have traded Landry for Sessions, but now that Pops Mensah Bonsu signed with another team I won't do it any more."

Well, the Bucks were rumored to be after Landry in the past who is also a hometown player. They also seem to want to invest everything in their rookie PG Jennings since they have a high priced one on the roster already in Ridnour. It's a plausible move. Such a trade would mean that the Rockets were in for even more trades.

Ok maybe I worded my question wrong, someone wrote that Pops reminds them of a younger Scola, I'm just curious to why would we get a "younger Scola" when he has imporoved his game with us in the last couple seasons. I just want Morey to find someone to help the team, help them win.

The Bucks need Landry so their other players can get Wisconsin shoe deals.

I think that we'll send him after the training camp.

The poster clarified that he only meant "like Scola" because of their heights, not their skills or style of play.

Pops is an energy player... I imagine a lesser-skilled Carl Landry type player that can run but play fair defense. This will definitely lead to more trades considering that we have too many players and not enough roster spots. There's still ~2 months of offseason, let alone time till the trade deadline, for significant roster changes.

You definitely make a lot of sense. This move scared me at first. If it's a partially guaranteed contract, it's fine for a look during training camp.

Ok seriously though this trade would happen because it would only mean more playing time for Scola. It is good for Landry too who I'm sure would have rather had traditional starters minutes than splitting the time. Pops is more energy off the bench guy, not starter quality, but he brings us Sessions which is the pot of gold.

If Sessions is acquired, what happens with Brooks/Lowry?

Here we go again  Davis was a 2m bench player, thomas was a matchup guy and a way to get rid of rafer and jordan is the young big the rockets shouldve drafted instead of dorsey. I bring him up now because we have ariza now and no center and don't know if yao will ever come back.

Brooks is probably a back up. Lowry is probably on the way out in another move if they acquire Sessions. It doesnt mean anything is gonna happen of course but it does mean it is more likely and that there is possibilities this move was for that reason or part of to make other moves. I can tell you this if you think Pops is not an upgrade, then consider he averaged 26 points and 13 rebounds in d-league. Both near the top of that league and has played successfully a little in the NBA. Now consider that Dorsey who many of us consider in high regard averaged just 8.9 points and less than 10 rebounds in the D-league and has never played in a NBA game. He fouls too much now in preseason so what makes anybody think that a shorter, less scoring, less rebounding, and more foul prone Dorsey with absolutely no history of NBA experience is better option than Pops? I am just saying. 26 points and 13 rebounds in any league is pretty good and Pops can play were as Dorsey hasnt even been able to get in game because Adelman wont let him near the court. Now that tells you something there. I think Pops is your backup center and not Dorsey. Its probably a battle between Hayes and Pops. Pops would have the advantage because of Height and scoring.

I think we are trying to build a Dleague all-star team...

Sessions, Chuck and Pops will hold it down next year...:)
